Title: bitcoin faucet powered by coin-hive.com Post by: beniamino38 on September 22, 2017, 06:10:14 PM Try my prototype bitcoin faucet powered by coin-hive.com. It mines XMR in the browser, and pays out in BTC. Comments and suggestions gratefully received! http://hivefaucet.com (http://hivefaucet.com)

Title: Re: bitcoin faucet powered by coin-hive.com Post by: trickyriky on October 02, 2017, 02:31:28 PM How much commission do you take for mining through your website?
Title: Re: bitcoin faucet powered by coin-hive.com Post by: beniamino38 on October 04, 2017, 11:52:38 AM Thanks for the replies. There were some issues with coinhive.com last week, which were fixed. I'm currently taking no commission -- 100% of the mining reward from coin-hive.com is converted to bitcoin and paid out to miners. If enough users start mining, I will eventually take a commission to pay for bitcoin transaction fees.
Title: Re: bitcoin faucet powered by coin-hive.com Post by: Adam556 on October 04, 2017, 12:24:34 PM How does this work? Do we leave the miner running in the background and hope for a payout at the end of each day?
Title: Re: bitcoin faucet powered by coin-hive.com Post by: beniamino38 on October 04, 2017, 01:42:08 PM You leave it running whenever you can. When the reward gets big enough for a payout, it will be paid out to a randomly chosen bitcoin address. You don't need to be running when the payout happens.

So just one person gets paid each day, kind of like a lottery? Title: Re: bitcoin faucet powered by coin-hive.com Post by: beniamino38 on October 06, 2017, 03:47:16 PM Yes, though the payouts will get more frequent as more people mine, so the reward will get spread out between different people.

Do you advertise your project? Have you got a web address for cloudcoins? When I google it I come up with loads of sites about a crypto of the same name. Title: Re: bitcoin faucet powered by coin-hive.com Post by: robattfield on October 20, 2017, 09:25:37 PM Here's a tip for those using faucets utilizing CoinHive: some antivirus programs block execution of the script, and flag it as a virus or PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program). My AV does this, and I have to whitelist coinhive and any other sites running it (e.g. Moon Bitcoin (http://freebtc.website/faucets/moon-bitcoin), CoinCrunch (http://freebtc.website/faucets/coincrunch), BitFun (http://freebtc.website/faucets/bit-fun)).
