Many people are looking for indications when is the best time to buy a crypto currency.

What are your thoughts or tips on that?

Best time when it is below ico price or in the ico stage. or in a crash, buy always when all market is red. You should also know when to sell this is more important.

Just after a big crash

It depends on the coin. In my opinion, all the times are good to buy coins such as Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash, Monero, Waves, etc or any other proved coin. Such coins are great investments in long term.
But you want to buy coins that are more risky or aren't developed yet, better to buy them in a dip.

Everyone here says: buy the dips. But this actually only truly works with Bitcoin. It also works to a lesser degree with ETH, LTC and XMR. To me all of these seem to ping and pong together with BTC. So far, I have bought in at the dip to 4100... and again at the dip to 3,400. So I am more or less okay. Slightly still in loss but if it goes back to 4,100 I will be in green.

buy the dip or when huge news is coming

It depends on the coin, there are multiple interesting moments to buy.
After a dip is not my favorite option, I much rather wait for a big announcement from the coin's team such as a hard fork or releases or else..

When bitcoin prices fall, and foila almost all altcoin prices also fall. That's the best time to buy it, or when its ICO over because it would be a lot of dumper Or it could be the first time the coin goes to the major exchange after, ICO buy when it might also be up again if the project is good

Correct this is the very best chance to buy because very soon you will get profit, even when a new coin is listed and when that coin bounty coins are released then the market reacts and their is dump and the price drops that is also a good time to buy and very soon their will be price up movement and take profit  very soon.

I thought so too, but when bitcoin dips the FIATvalue of an altcoin drops too and the bitcoinvalue can still be the same. However buying the dips with altcoins means buying when the bitcoinvalue of a coin drops. When the value of bitcoin will increase you'll have double gains

Follow mate, if the team advocating the entire project are known and hide nothing about their identities and if they are spending money to spread the

Words about their project and if their idea is an original and not a clone of some other coin, investing early is the best time, all the coins listed already

It's more important to choose a good altcoin that still has many potentials to go higher. Even if the price is much higher than in ICO stage it will raise much more in future. But of course, if you face a situation where a crash or heavy correction happens, it might be a perfect time to buy. And it is even more important to find the best time to sell the altcoin before price drops again.

buy before news when pump not started and sell it 1 day before or on news date or when price pump too high coz next day price fall down,

As you know, you should buy any asset when it's cheap. Crypto-currency has been growing steadily for six months. But the situation with crypto-currencies has features that make it possible to assert that now it is not too late to invest in them. And you should not regret the unused opportunities, but use the existing ones. And it`s a good time now, considering that the capitalization is 10-12% lower than the peak, reached in June.

the best time to buy is when you compare the difference between the latest ATH and the current dip , if it is btween 30 to 50 percent difference then it is a good time to buy, if it is higher than that there is a lot of risk to face.

It is best to buy when it is launched, but with over 900 and counting coins in the market it is very difficult deciding on which to buy. It also pays to buy a coin when it is dumped, look at its potential first before jumping in.

Never buy when it is pumped :) Bought GAS when it was @ 30 usd.   

Which dip are you talking about? Look at 1 years ago in the coin market cap and compare it with today. There is no best time.

The best time to buy a coin depends on a lot of factors: how is your economy? How on the market its price is stable? You should not buy when the currency is at its peak. When they are at low cost if you are venturing, buy them, so buy them at a stable price.

when the price is low :-) apart of this one strategy is to buy during ico and then wait for quotation, better if you can buy during pre-ico with bonus discount etc. but don't go all in with only one: split you savings and diversificate in case anything goes wrong. don't have the numbers so i can't say 1 out 10 will cover your possible losses but i think numbers are better then this, maybe 3 out of 10 if you are not for 100x coins

people always think should buy coin when price is low. But they dont known where is the floor.

The biggest factor that you would consider is the price because the golden rule is always buy low sell high. But be careful also to choose those coins that are already gained the top spots. If these coins become cheap, buy them. Also, monitor their project for any updates and announcements.

Yes that's true and a nice technique of buying alt-coins, more alt-coins ico are coming this year and just research first the background of the team before investing on ico.

yeah of course all users will do the same because basically the strategy to trade altcoin is buy low and sell high, but we do not know when the price of an altcoin can be said a low price to buy, while it is very possible that the falling price will continue to fall after you bought it and then you lose your money lol

It is not only the altcoins or some specific asset strategy but all the traders around the world work on the principle "buy low, sell high" regardless of what they are dealing in. there are some altcoins that have some real potential to increase with time like ethereum, waves, Monero, litecoins and neo. Investing in them won't be a disappointment.

I think it is quite a safe bet to buy ICOs if they are underpriced and undervalued after their initial ICO

You should buy when there is real panic on the market and you should watch out for some strong support lines in a 1D chart, to grab it at good a point. I dont prefer to grab hyped coins, because the most are going to correction in the most cases

its not to buy the best time to but altcoin because its time to buy cheap bitcoin. now a day bitcoin price is down and every one want to buy cheap bitcoin and invest their money in bitcoin you too should go to buy bitcoin because the volatility of bitcoin is very high and bitcoin price will cross 6000 dollar  in October.

Always grab the opportunity to buy when their is panic that resulted into price is cheap. Also, it is good to buy when the coins has its potential to grow. And yes I agree, dont buy those hype coins because mostly when you dont know to ride with the train somehow you will lose.
