Title: Electrum 13 words seed help
Post by: DreamweaverVCC on September 24, 2017, 05:51:54 PM
So I am using electrum client to store my bitcoin addresses, I am trying to move my seeds to other wallet, but because of the 13 seeds, it is incompatible with almost every wallet available, anyway I can convert it to 12 words seeds / and master xpriv keys? Or I am stuck with electrum forever because of the 13 words seeds? Been searching the solution for awhile now :/ cant find any good solution..

No other wallet supports electrum seed mnemonics. Not the 13 word one you have nor the 12 word ones that newer wallets carry. So drop this idea.

You can't convert a 13 word seed to a 12 word one. It would create a totally different wallet if you did that.

To move your bitcoins to a different wallet you just send them to a receiving address of the new wallet. This is the simplest way to do it.
