what the title says... everybody is apparently ordering batches of 10.000 avalon asic chips - did the first orders ship already? is the 8-week delivery time correct? Don't know whether i consider this good or bad news... everybody is making boards, clones, batch sales.... in preparation for the almighty chips - but no one has seen chips. I'd think soon since all they are doing is ordering the chips and sending them on. Im sure there's not too much of a wait time for 120nm production.

It might be the biggest scam of all. Highly unlikely, Avalon has shown themselves to be competent. Additionally, ordering more already-designed chips and then having those sent out is also much more straight-forward than having to build mining units, with the chips and then every other component.
