Should other cryptocurrencies follow this lead?

It is simply because bitcoin is really something that it already make its name in the crypto world.  Bitcoin is tested and proven and as the first digital currency it should be recognized as the most used and well known digital currency.  I also saw on a documentary that some stores in New York already accepted bitcoin.  It just shows that bitcoin is the new money for this generation and that is without a doubt.

Definitely! I The more cryptocurrency available in the market the more it will easily be adopted by the people who are not yet aware of the technology.

Even Burger King started to accept its own cryp currency in Russia created on waves platform even lots of Ico coming up with own marketplay like centra having its own cbay where people can utilise token for online purchase.

I think it will take more years until other Cryptos to be accepted as a transaction method, but for now Altcoins will serve as a trading paraphernalia for bitcoin you will need to sell your Altcoins to simply use it, but we will see if in the future, maybe other coins can surely be accepted as a method of transaction on other countries because it has the same idea and technology as bitcoin, or maybe we can see it in the popularity of a coin.

when this coin will be available all over the world I like the idea of burger king and if that can be adopted by more business and if they will create more system
that will cater bitcoin or any other crypto it will bring a huge value in the near future.

It is very exciting to see, heard and read article like this that bitcoin and other crypto currency now a day are being accepted on physical stores and physical businesses. Unlike before i was using bitcoin just to purschase online like games and other stuffs.

Bitcoin as the first cryptocurrency and leading cryto should be given an acknowledgement to be first use in more physical store. Also it have proven and tested in some different area that might been having some issue but still on top.

I think it is bound to happen after bitcoin reaches such high value and popularity. Other business services are just going with the flow following the trend Bitcoin  is having.

As for bitcoin, its to volatile at the moment.for mass adoption

i would love to see other altcoins follow and hope that we can see some real competition in the market for real adoption. but so far we have seen not much of any attempt from these altcoins. there has always been a lot of talk though! they claim to be in contact with merchants but months come and go and we see no action from any altcoin!

If nobody uses the coin, then the merchants will disable the "pay by cryptocurrecy option", as too expensive to maintain something not used.

Bitcoins has become more popular in past few years, more people have adopted the bitcoins and now they are willing to transact with the BTC for their regular day to day ransactions. Hence, many service providers has started accepting the bitcoins as a mode of payment and we can see increase in the numbers of such businesses in the future.

sadly that is not the number of transactions that people make as "payment". that number is a lot smaller. that is mostly people transferring bitcoin to exchanges, gambling and lots of other things.

Bitcoin nowadays was being used by different merchants all around the globe. Before bitcoin was being accepted as payment only in online but now it leveled up because there are some fine dining restaurants, fast food and coffee shop are also bitcoin accepted. Which is no wonder that someday it will be accept by the public business sectors to use bitcoin as payment too.

adoption of bitcoin is increasing day by day, that part is true. but it doesn't mean the whole cryptocurrencies are following the path. of course bitcoin's fame brings a lot of attention to altcoins too but most of that attention will be disappointed and the rest will just use them as investments for short term to make more of bitcoin.

Other cryptocurrency must do the same. Many altcoin out there were made on a specific goal and usage as well as a specific field or industry and it should be the right time for them to do what they are intended to do. There might be some competition, though. However, this is common in marketing so if the other cryptocurrency follows what Bitcoin is doing, cryptocurrency will be widely known around the world in no time.

I think there were 10 countries that accept bitcoin an additional method of payment. There's also news that Amazon is accepting bitcoin payment when buying products. Since Bitcoin is becoming so popular lots of businesses will adopt Bitcoin an additional method of payment in days to come.

Everything related to the recent Amazon "news" is just speculation based on absolutely nothing. I don't understand why people tend to take everything so seriously without any factual information. Other than that, merchants are interested in attracting more potential customers, and now Bitcoin is quite booming in the recent years, we'll see more and merchants try to ride it by allowing Bitcoin payments. How epic would it be to walk into a McDonald's restaurant and order an entire menu for 0.001 BTC in the next years?  ;D

Wow, i don't know that you can already use bitcoin to buy many different things. Bitcoin is getting more popular, this is what we want and it's just the beginning. Other crypto should follow this lead, it's better to have different option to buy something.

That is a legit proof that Bitcoin is strong and has a wide range acceptance compared to other cryptocurrency that exists. However, there are some cryptocurrency that can offer more efficient services on a specific industry or market than Bitcoin. So the answer to your question is yes, other cryptocurrencies should step forward and deliver their services based from their concept. Though they cannot fully compete with Bitcoin, it will still be beneficial if a more suitable coin or token will be used in a specific industry.

I got a feeling that the bitcoins will bloom again. More people will invest in bitcoins and use as a regular money to purchase things. I believe more stores and businesses will use bitcoins to avoid money laundering and being rob. Their earning are stash virtually safer than a cash register.

Gradually more and more people are getting to know about bitcoins, and starting to to earn them/ learn more about them, in future as even more people get to know it would be accepted at even more businesses i think.

These are just speculations to try to pump the market. Like I always say people are weak-minded and they are willing to sell away the bitcoin they have because are not ready to accept losses. It is true that bitcoin gets more acceptance gradually but frankly speaking it will occur at a very slow rate. Even altcoins are trying to get into different parts of the society to make people aware of them and bitcoin. However the degree of acceptance by the public is low and will not increase unless the fiat to crypto exchange system is fully integrated with every device.

Yeah the price and the popularity of the bitcoin is getting high every day. Bitcoin is now being use by all kind of the people and the price of bitcoin is expected to increase more till the end of the month. It is said by a very popular site organizer umm I don’t remember the name,,, the price of the bitcoin will increase more till the end of the November so it is good to hold your bitcoin and to invest in it.

Those are good news, and making it accepted as a payment gateway makes people feel more interested in buy them in order to spend in those stores, because that makes bitcoin circulate, and it is all a whole proccess, so if someone buys bitcoin to spend in there, then it makes the marketcap grows.

Yes and there are more companies are integrating bitcoin with their business. In the future we are hoping that its easy to spend bitcoin on terminals in groceries and any boutiques like credit and debit cards. Key points here are accessibility, flexibility, and ease of doing transaction.

We all hope that this will happen some day, if we dont count Japan cuz they fully legalize this. For this to happen all over the world or at least in good part of this it would be great, even as a idea is good, saw on several places so far, sign bitcoin is accepted here, but to be honest didnt know if they do or this was just a someone joke.

I have tried to go into that store which do have a sign outside that they do accept bitcoin payments but when i try to transact and asked they didnt know such thing and they said they just put it.I was frustrated because my hopes was gone on spending directly my bitcoin on my place.Hopefully this thing would be available worldwide i dont know why government does still block this kind of innovation.

Yeah, more and more shops starts to accept bitcojn as payment method since it is used by so many people. It will take a few years for bitcoin to be accepted in most of local shops so you can buy everything, everytime you want from anywhere. For local shops it will be hard to accept bitcoin since some of them dont accept even some credit carda. I hope the food stores like Mcdonalds or clothes like H&M will also accept bitcoin

Maybe they should ,maybe not .Purchases are sometimes better when you make them using fiat,agreed you have to pay taxes,but I will hold bitcoin rather than making a purchase with it,because of the profitability ratio. On the other i would accept bitcoin for payments.

That sometimes happens, I searched for places accepting bitcoin in my country and when I saw the payments accepted some of them didn’t accept bitcoins. It may have happened that they accepted them for a while but they stopped. The reason, I don’t know why, it’s just speculation.
So, I don’t get too excited with more and more businesses accepting bitcoin payments because I know that some have stopped accepting them. There is still a long way to go.

Probably is same thing here. I dont see why would they put this sign just to see people enter the store and that they could say they have business or what.

For other cryptocurrencies to be like bitcoin, it's a mandatory that they will soon be accepted in stores, not just bitcoin.

If governments can ban bitcoin and its usage, they can ban those merchants as well.

I can't understand one thing. Everyone says invest and invest in bitcoin but don't you know what bitcoin can to fall? It's not like guaranteed profit. On another hand bitcoin is accepted daily in more business because it's the most popular and trusted coin in crypto world. Absolutely all the created crypto currency is produced and extracted in order to be a means of payment in a certain sphere of our society. This is its main purpose. Altkoins, as a rule, have a narrow focus and go as a means of payment only in a certain industry or type of activity.

Bitcoin is now being accepted by more and more companies. When a giant tech company like Microsoft or other famous businesses like Uber, Amazon, Ebay etc make a move, it do influence rest of the world. Also, many big countries like America, China, Russia, Canada, Germany, Japan etc accepted bitcoins which attracted attention of rest of the world.
