Can someone please explain the "Chase Chump Saga"? Do you mean the JPMorgan statements about bitcoin being a fraud? I don't think this is connected to China bans, it just happend at the same time.

    Dimon is a highly educated man who has risen to the top of a very cutthroat industry in terms of people looking to outsmart him and take his job. There is no way in hell he actually believes ANYTHING that he has been ranting about, There is obviously an agenda of some kind. He is far too educated and with his experience in finance and banking, he would be blind not to see what is happening on the charts that he himself lives inside of. What the hidden agenda is.... That's to be seen. Or not. Lucky for us. The crypto community loves to uncover the truth and blast it right out of the water. Surprising we haven't found Satoshi yet.... This is about Dimon and China though. Don't start spewing your Satoshi theories. There are 1,000,000 other topics for that conversation. Interesting poll. I agree that the two circumstances are unrelated but I believe they have the same exact motivation.  That is their desire to have control over the money. This, they have in common.

Jamie Dimon found a moment when people were already weary about how China will affect the price and with well placed FUD lowered the price even more. I doubt that he did all this alone, but he helped (I doubt that he did it for free) quite some whales get even richer.
But FUD and volatility are both a big part of Bitcoin's life. Bitcoin will survive them. After all, it already recovered about half of that fall, it's back from under 3000$ to ~3900$.

Agreed. I picked up on the humorous undertone of the poll's answers but I also think that you are serious in your collection of data here for educational purposes. It's refreshing to find humor in the forum right alongside constructive conversation and current affairs. Thank you. I forgot to vote.

Both China and the people Jamie Dimon represent have an agenda and that is mostly to gain power and wealth, China wants to make sure Bitcoin is leashed and they get in their tax regulations. Dimon does back a different blockchain technology. Attacks from two sides will eventually make Bitcoin more resilient. Stay strong everybody.

I chose not to believe the words of a person about a certain topic which he doesn't know. How do I know that he doesn't have enough knowledge with the topic? Simple, I listened and observed that crucial points are not touched.

I also believe that this two issues or drama like you said is not part of a joint grand scheme but rather it just so happens coincidentally.

The recent drama of JP ceo shows that's the centralized banks are anxious of Bitcoins. They are now realizing it, that their monopoly over users is finally coming to an end, and they can't stand it. Also makes me wonder, if they have any work, that the ceo comes to speak on bitcoins rather than focus on his work. Coming to China, they banned Ico and that's ok, many ico resulted in scams, so it's for the safety only. They are regulating in the long term, so it will benefit the Bitcoin in the long term.

I selected that Jamie Damon is calculated in his rants. His goal is to make money and that is what he did and always will do. I also selected that Bitcoin will be negatively affected by bad news. That is short term hopefully. I also selected that Bitcoin will rise since no press is bad. That last one is more of a long term prediction. Let's hope it comes true.

No that is not happened at the same time. It was a mixed plan for making some notorious voices against bitcoins so that the fame bitcoins are now gaining, could be destabilized. They are somehow succeed and somehow failed.

Still bitcoin have revived again and this revolution makes a strong impact on the international markets regarding businesses in crypto.

The crypto industry means several things to separate people and each and every one of them, have the right to their own opinion without being vilified for it. Its just like a half filled cup while someone will say its half filled some others will say its half empty and the same thing with bitcoin.

Jamie is an intelligent guy and I don't think someone who holds such important and sensitive position would not say anything without thinking or knowing in details about the subject matter but that does not make him right always.

My take from it is simple, as he is entitled to his opinion, so am I to my opinion as well and I choose to believe the fact that he is wrong in his opinion and there is nothing he can do about it.
