Title: Crypto Currencies that can be mined with a CPU
Post by: Aquaexploder on September 26, 2017, 10:14:26 AM
Hi everyone I am just starting out mining crypto currency and would like some recommendations for currency that can be mined within a reasonable amount of time using a CPU. I heard that Monero can still  be mined with a CPU, is that true?

Yes, Monero can be mined with a CPU, but a single quad-code will not produce much, you still need a farm to get considerable amounts.

One core  i3 , usually dual core version can make you about 5 usd a month while a quadcore like i3 4160 can make you up to 7 usd a month.
Multiplied by 25 x5 equal to 125 usd ore 1.xx coin in a month, or 25x7 equal to 175 usd it is almost 2 Monero in a month with the actual price of Monero at 97 dollars.

Probably forever to get some profit after discounting electricity costs...

If you head over to the Announcement section and keep refreshing as new coins come out. Then if you are one of the first ones to mine it, it means that the difficulty rate is really low, which increases the number of coins that you mine.

You will not have the same security on how much you can then get out of them if you sell them, but at least the payoff could be potentially more.

For what I know, a regular machine won't do any good.
For real mining, you need some tough machine.
And take into account electricity cost, that can diminish considerably your profit

Many many thanks to you Manik for this great information. I don't know clearly about mining. But I want to try learning about mining. Do you please provide any link or resource for learning about Mining. It will be the great opportunity for me to learn to mine.

CPU mining for profit is not possible at the moment. If you really insist, look for new coin announcement and do initial solo CPU mining before any pools are launched. And shift to another coin when difficulty increases.

XMR coin is a kind of coin exploited by cpu is better than digging by gpu. So miners who want to dig up the coin they would dig with vps would be less expensive than buying diggers

I agree with MKmanik. You can also mine MinexCoin by CPU. I have mined MinexCoin with my core i3 PC. That is great. And Minexcoin price is also good. You can mine those coin which is mentioned MKmanik, and you can also mine MinexCoin.

You need farm to make more than a little bit with single CPU so you have to invest or just make it from projects around the web.
