My nick name is disturbing me, can someone advice how to change it?

In your case? Just stop using this account and create a new one with any username you want...

Why? Because there are only 2 ways of changing your nick:

1) become a VIP donator by donating 50 BTC. VIP's can change their nick

2) by asking the admin... However, this forum has over one million accounts, the admin gets swamped with many requests on a daily basis, so the chances are slim to none he'll grant a nick change... Saving your post history of 9 posts is hardly worth his time ;)

most are junk accounts created just to participate in a signature campaign only, my friends send admin (both theymos and cyrus) to process their accounts that have been hacked by others but up to six months have never been responded.

so the chances of getting nickname change is none, sad to hear that.

You can't unless an admin will help you and a very low chance of that so i prefer you to forget about you current account and make a new one. if you don't and gladly to pay thousands of dollars to change your nickname in a newbie account then go ahead. 50BTC to be exact.

i think  50BTC for a name change is not worth for any type of account. For a newbie like me better to start a new one.

better to create a new account.If you want to change your user name you have to be a donator legendary or you should pm admin ( chance is too low )

since you are in a newbie rank, I suggest you to create a new one, if you don't want your nickname. because its a difficult way to you to change your nickname, why? because if you want to change your nickname, you must be a donator first. we all know that to be a donator, you must have to pay a huge amount of bitcoin to got a donator tag on your name, second you can ask/request direct to the admin/owner of this site to change your nickname but not advisable. the only one way is to create a new one and put a name what ever you want to.

What does sql injection have to do with changing your username? Afaik, there are no vulnerabilities in smf that allow you to change any of you account parameters that way.

nope, he will not find it because it would be very embarrassing if the global-scale forums still have weaknesses in sql inject, he seems to underestimate the Theymos and his friends.

There is no way you can change your username on this forum, if you really wanted to use your preferred username on this forum, the only way is to create a new account, and the username you choose must be available to register with, providing no other users register themselves on this forum with that username.

Creat other one and be sure that account is the one you like too. Or need to ask ing one legendary abt it to be your deco ordinator.

SQL injection only works in websites with insecure databases thus rendering your solution to be pointless in this forum. It's a very common thing to do if you want to alter something internally and do you really think that Satoshi would get that missed?

I advise you to re-read the full topic, the correct answer has been given in the very first post, then it has been repeated a dozen of times in the following posts.

What is the purpose when you're saying the nickname is chosen by you is disturbing you man. It's really confusing for me. Unless you bought this account from someone else. But who is that much stupid when buying a newbie account. By the way, i think nobody have rights to change your nickname, your nickname will be set as default at the moment you registered. My suggest for you is create a new one.

if you need to change your user name you need to have Security access which only Administrator have it .
