Title: Anything new with MintChip? Should the Canadian Mint Mine BTC instead? Post by: crudcat on May 31, 2013, 06:05:54 AM Just reading https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=216150.0 made me wonder why a Government Mint wouldn't also mine bitcoin. With sufficient super computing resources surely they'd be able to take their share of transaction fees from the blocks they mined. Or maybe the CRA and IRS?
