Title: Difference between "Posts" and "Activity" in the profile tab?
Post by: Cane1989 on September 26, 2017, 02:49:13 PM
I do not know what is the difference between these two in the profile. Can somebody explain it to me?

And why I have less "Activity" than "Posts"?

Postcount is simply it, how many posts you've made in total. Whereas activity measures how active you are in general here in the forums. To earn maximum activity, you need to post every single day (no spam ofcourse). For more information, here's a post from Theymos: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=237597.0

-post is the number of posts you post on all posts you comment or post on topic each reply or post is counted as 1 post
activity is the point of your activity on the forum this point is used to increase your rank as a newbie. jr member, member .... the higher the activity point, -your rank will correspond to it. To prevent spam the forum only allows 2 weeks you will get 14 activity points for example a week you post 20 post, the activity point will be 14 not exceed so the activity point must always be smaller than the post. Hope to help you

Postcount- counts how many posts you wrote in past and made them in total, that's it. Activity measures how active you are it's mean how often you post, how much ect

Yes, there it is. Post and activity are not the same. Post can increase anytime, but activity only increase 14 for 2 weeks.
If you post 15 posts in 2 weeks, then the activity will still increase 14 only. But if you do not post in 2 weeks, then your activity will not increase.

I think post and activity are totally different, post are can made every hrs or minutes you like to do. But activity is not, activity is the formula to rank you up although your post are too much to be but your activity will not. Activity is like patience, you will rank up in the right time.
With out too much activity you will not rank up.

Please stop making hwse useless topic posts. This has been asked 100s of times. Use Google and you can easily find answers vai links to BCT. You dont need to ask the same thing over and over. No need to reinvent the wheel.

1 activity per day the account is allowed regardless of the amount of posts you have made. If you can't d these things for yourself or help yourself then you shouldn't really be here.

Activity is for your rank and posts is just your posts. To get activity you need to post and you only receive 14 activity every 2 weeks.

Posts are simply the number of posts you have written. Activity is something that is accumulated from posts, but has a cap on how many you can gain each week, which is why you have less activity than posts.
