Title: Sent Bitcoin cash via Electron Cash wallet but only received fractional amount Post by: goreme on September 26, 2017, 03:18:34 PM Recently sent 2-Bitcoin cash to Shapeshift in exchange for Ethereum but received less than $.50usd value.
Wallet history confirms 2 Bitcoin cash sent but when i view the blockchain record(Etherscan), it shows only <.50 value received. Any ideas what happened? Title: Re: Sent Bitcoin cash via Electron Cash wallet but only received fractional amount Post by: HCP on September 26, 2017, 11:17:13 PM Double check the units being used... by default I believe that Electron Cash is set to "mBCC" or milli BitcoinCash units... so you would have sent like 1/1000th of the desired value of BCC ;)
"Tools -> Preferences -> Appearance" Change the "Units" to "BCC" and you'll see that your original transaction amount is adjusted accordingly ;) NOTE: Due to an existing bug, you will probably need to click close and then reopen the "Preferences" window and go back to "Appearance" tab to be able to set the decimal points to "8", after changing from mBCC to BCC units |
