Title: Bitcoin in the gaming community
Post by: OmegaStarScream on September 26, 2017, 05:24:20 PM
In case you haven't heard yet, Nexon (which is a global leader in online games for PC and mobile) is going to buy 65% stake from Korbit (which is a huge exchange), both services operates in south Korea. Even though, they didn't buy the whole company, I still believe that we will see something from Nexon related to bitcoin, probably a game that advertise it, who knows? What are your thoughts?

Maybe they will add bitcoin as a payment method to buy item in cash shop. I don't play online often now but it will be good for bitcoin if they advertise about it on their website as nexon have quite a huge list of online game.

This is something that has always fascinated me and something that I believe gaming companies are STRONGLY overlooking at this time. They could easily integrate a crypto currency into their game, to create a real world economy.

It looks like 65% is enough to get control of a company so they decided to save some money.
I still havent seen any worthy idea if using cryptocurrencies, most people just want to use crypto for gaming just because it is cool.
The good thing here is that some experienced game devs now gona work on it and hopefully we  will see some new and creative moves from their side.

This is again a positive step taken, this will positively effect the bitcoin and its community because 65% is a big share. May be they have an idea of introducing games which will be linked with cryptocurrencies and exchange or something like that, BTW i am not sure about it.
Gradually more people are attracting towards bitcoins and cryptocurrencies as these type of big companies are showing there interest in bitcoin.
