I would suggest sending your BTC to coinbase, you will have to link your bank account but they are US based and VC funded (personally makes me less nervous). I have used them for 1 transaction, went very smooth with no problems. I even sent the BTC after 3 days to myself with 0 transaction fee. They use MtGox last price fyi.
