Just a question, Are there are any existing movies related to/about bitcoin? How much do you think will it affect the interest of those people who doesn't know bitcoin?

I would love to see movies related to bitcoin just like The Wall Street, Boiler Room, Inside Job, Wolf of Wall Street, etc.

Yeah you can surely search for it on google and it will surely caught your attention with the many things it can provide you but there are movies that partially mentioned bitcoin in a particular scene and that movie is not particularly about bitcoin I think you should try to watch Dope and search in what scene it can be mentioned, but the thing that caught my attention is the deep web movie that would simply think about bitcoin not the same way again, because some people would use bitcoin in their criminal acts and illegal ways.

Yes, I advise you to watch a movie or read the book "Digital Gold". You will like it very much and you will find answers to many questions there. About how the crypto-currency was born, its formation over the past years and what it is predicted by the future. Very fascinating story. I advise everyone for general education.

I've seen a movie about bitcoin. but tells the story of a hacker who manipulates his money on a bitcoin wallet. yes the crimes they use on the online world, and they launder money in bitcoin amounts.

I would rather watch a video about the way miners mined bitcoin because for me it's always fun seeing the way they mined bitcoin with all their equipment. But I would to try to search a movie like you say next times

Films: The Rise and Rise of Bitcoin.

The problem is that topics like Bitcoin become controversial enough that film makers don't feel like just writing pure information anymore.  They feel like writing "Bitcoin is good, look at how cool and rebellious it is, you hate the government right?" or "Bitcoin is stupid, it's not even real money", etc.

Obviously they don't do this directly but it reaches a point at which people try to exaggerate things to appeal to the general public.

You're better off looking at more informational sources like bitcoin.org (http://bitcoin.org) for example.

Yes, there are absolutely a whole bunch of movies that has parts or scenarios talking about bitcoins. Sadly, they only give so little time or very short scenes that display topics about bitcoins and worse is that most of the time, they display nothing but bad things about crypto currencies and often connect it with criminal activities that does nothing but just fuel the reasons of people why they don’t want to get into the crypto world. Plus, they give too little information about it. Which is pretty upsetting if you ask me, because I love crypto currencies and really hate to see people spitting out bad things about it and they mostly show just short parts of it in movies. I would really love to see a movie that has bitcoins or crypto currencies as the main topic in the movie. That would be really cool.

There is a good documentary on bitcoins called; Banking on Bitcoin (2016). "Bitcoin is the most disruptive invention since the Internet, and now an ideological battle is underway between fringe utopists and mainstream capitalism. The film shows the players who are defining how this technology will shape our lives".

I don't know is there any bitcoin related movies in the whole world . Bitcoin is illegal in many countries . So many countries dont know about it and only a few people knows about it . But i think if a bitcoin related  film makes a lot of people will know about bitcoin and will encourage them to involve in bitcoin .

before I know the information about the film Banking on Bitcoin (2016) on television but I have not had time to watch it. I'm more curious how the storyline of this movie about bitcoin :o

There are many interesting movies available, but you need to search on Youtube or google if you want to watch it and i am sure that you will end with good results. I have just watch one movie on bitcoin and it was the  BITCOIN HEIST. It is a vietnamese action movie that mixes bitcoin with little bit of action and suspense. There are other movies too like DOPE and DEEP WEB. I didn't watch them but i came to know that they did a decent job in Film industry. Came to know that there are chances to see few more movies soon by 2019 .

Wondering if they are Hollywood made movies. I had always assumed that Hollywood would never promote cryptocurrency related subjects.

No but would love to see them if they have.Definitely in future we will see movies which shows transactions of bitcoins purchasing some illegal things.But a complete movie may not be possible.A short film or directories may possible.
If I hold bitcoins like 10000 and when the value of it becomes 100000$ I will do a movie no matter who watch it and I name it 'Bitcoin Billionaire'. ;)

Films about bitcoin are very cool, because through the video it's much easier to perceive information. However, all that I saw had enough conflicting information, and I did not like any of the films so much to advise him.
I hope that after watching the films that were suggested here on the forum, they will not disappoint me.  ;)

I have never heard of there being a legitimate Bitcoin movie made yet, but have read a lot of people who want one. I think it will be unbelievably amazing, if done correctly.

There aren't any movies or documentaries that are actually interesting that relate to Bitcoin from what I remember, I know I did some similar hunting back after watching The Big Short and Wolf of Wall Street but I came up with nothing. Maybe something has changed at some point but I wouldn't be able to give you any good information on it.

There have been a few that exist on YouTube, from what I've seen, talking about some people who own businesses and the like, but they don't really go into any more depth than that. It's very surface-level stuff mostly.

These are not movies bro, these ae infomrational documentaries on bitcoin but they are amazing, thanks for information people about thees documentaries. People better search the key words "bitcoin movies" on google, i hope they will file pretty amazing stuff in results.

until now I have not known the existence of bitcoin films ... what is not yet present bitcoin movie .... and according to my knowledge has not appeared bitcoin movie ... and it is not yet present ...

By checking as holly or Japanese movie you will not find any bitcoin related movie. I did not find any bitcoin and cryptography scenes also in any movie. Still there are lots and lots of documentary movies about bitcoin in Youtube and some people own the site and releasing some videos about bitcoin earning, ICO investment, trading, mining and documentaries.

Try Bitcoin Heist. As far as I know, it is mixed with action. If ever you're not in the mood to watch movies, there's also a lot of documentaries that can be seen on youtube.

Yes there are a lot of movies which is directly or indirectly related to bitcoin among them bitcoin heist is my favourit one, if you don't see that then must see.

I dont know yet. But I am sure that there are movies out there that the main idea of the movie is about bitcoin. It's just not popular or famous. And I also think, that there are movies that is being created that is about bitcoin.

They are many bitcoin-related positive news but still the prices are struggling to catch up the speed the main reason behind this is in bear market it will take long time for price growth

There's a lot of movies about bitcoin anyway and I think these movies are really influential since people will accept it as fascinating one whilst learning to explore bitcoin and how to be finally work on it. I really support everything that helps bitcoin in keeping its name in good shape.

Bitcoin Heist doesn't have the best ratings. I'm not sure if that's your best bet. I found one that you might find interesting. It is a documentary though. It's called Bitcoin Big Bang: l'improbable épopée de Mark Karpeles. A man is arrested when half a billion dollars in Bitcoin disappear. He's later released for lack of evidence. In this documentary he breaks the silence. It's in French, but I think it's worth the watch if you understand French or you can find subtitles.

Documentary just enough. But I can not advise, because I'm not sure of the exact name :) In general, I think they are not difficult to find in Google.

A complete movie can not be. If I keep the bitcoin as 10000 and when its value becomes $ 100000 I would make a movie regardless of whoever views it and I name it "Bitcoin billionaire". However, all I see is conflicting information, and I do not like any film to recommend him. I have never heard of having a legitimate Bitcoin movie made, but have read so many people who want one.

as of now, there is no bitcoin movie related filmed yet, but i am hoping that someday this will may, because this idea was can be sent to all people on how bitcoin (crypto) really works, they can truly study and understand all about it.

There are many films and in all films differently expressed about bitcoin , in some movies they say about great growth and great future and the other that is all fraud.

I got one good and excelent movie for watching talk about the advantage of bitcoin, I see many charateristic of bitcoin value at the movie, I have watched one more time about this movie and I like it.

As bitcoin only pumped last year there wont be any movies yet about a major bitcoin heist. Also the price is so volatile that the film would look silly if they stole 100 bitcoins and it dumped back down to 1000 dollars

There is a series called "Silicon Valley" They are a group of programmers who are dedicated to creating an application for video calls with very good quality, in fact the best. But they always cheat you and end up losing money. Bitcoin does not come out as such, but they do create a cryptocurrency.

Bitcoin was in Mr. Robot, Big Bang Theory and a movie named Postage.

I recently watched the movie Unfriended: Dark Web, which features bitcoins in the beginning. It was short, but bitcoin was used in a not so very light way. And I am not sure if you have heard of it, but Hollywood is making a movie about cryptocurrency called "Crypto". It stars Kurt Russell and Beau Knapp, the plot of the movie is about a "young anti-money laundering agent (Knapp) tasked with investigating a tangled web of corruption and fraud in his remote New York hometown, where his father (Russell) and brother (Hemsworth) are struggling to maintain their family farm in a changing economic landscape. The agent quickly finds himself enmeshed in a dangerous underworld populated by a mysterious art dealer (Bledel), a crypto-currency enthusiast turned cyber-sleuth (Harris) and a corrupt accountant doing the bidding of ruthless clients (Kartheiser)." They are also currently shooting so perhaps we can expect this by 2019.

I think i have read somewhere, there is a movie about bitcoin, it is Unfriended. I don't know if it is a good movie or not, but it definitely a bitcoin related movie.
If you want to learn and gain more knowledge about bitcoin, then this forum will be better than the bitcoin movie.

I have watched TV series that is blind spot where the altcoins and bitcoin were used for transactions by some mafia and they have described this that this is the one which can not be find out by any one that how and when the amount of bitcoin were sent over the internet.

But there are good documentaries talking about that subject you can learn a lot from them and they are really entertaining.

You can put keywords like Bitcoin, Blockchain, cryptocurrency... in Youtube. There are many suggestions. 

Well as of now I haven't watch any films about the bitcoin. All I did watch are some hackers hacking the money of others and doing some money laundering. Honestly what I know is sites and fprums so far but if there are movies regarding to the bitcoin then I guess I wanted to see that. It might be a good way to promote bitcoin although maybe some of its were showing that using bitcoin is bad.

This is a great theme just like Ponzi had a big movie dedicated to it. So what movie does Bitcoin have for me? Bitcoin is like a legend in cryptocurrency, and it is becoming immortal in crypto.
Altcoin is putting Bitcoin as the destination to get through it all.

For movies, which is specifically on bitcoin there is none that I have heard of, but there are several documentaries on bitcoin that are widely available on the internet. I recently watched one interesting documentary about cryptocurrency on YouTube. It was really educative and inspiring.

As far as I know there are only documentaries about bitcoin but the full-length film I do not see but it would be interesting to watch it !

I didn't see any btc movies since I had started in this forum and if there is a chance that btc will make a movie, it would be a good idea wherein people would be able to further understand and enhance their skills. There will be more learning and understanding about bitcoin if shown in movies, there will be mass adaptation indeed and it could make an impact by then.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          

I have watch good movie talking about how bitcoin become more safety and profitable investment, I have watch and got many information about how to get profit with bitcoin investment, I will check and waiting for other movie talking about bitcoin.

this film provides an overview of the bitcoin system, and also explains how bitcoin can change public perceptions. in general, this film describes the threat of bitcoin against fiat currencies.

I don't see anything about bitcoin films but I read many news and magazines about bitcoin and others cryptocurrencies. If film industry makes a short or full film about bitcoin,then it would be highly beneficial in bitcoin and blockchaintechnology.

Movie of keanu reeves in which the syndicates uses bitcoin as payments for every killing transactions they made for someone,it is an organized group of hired killers and their clients.i just forgot the title but this has two part

Bitcoin Heist is also a very interesting film, and in my opinion, it's a good movie. you must watch it. the conclusion of this film, tells about fraudsters with hackers, and more interesting when planning a large-scale bitcoin theft.

As far as I know there is no movie yet that is being created which focus on cryptocurrency. I remember watching a movie about the internet and that we are not secured because government can easily track us and know what we are doing. But crypto, not yet. Hope soon they will.

I watched dark web Last month it's an interesting movie and they made reference to Bitcoin but what I think the creator of this thread wants is a movie that can make newbies know and understand what Bitcoin is

A lot of movies and tv serial are available which shows that bitcoin and litecoin were using for terrorist attacks like blind spot a TV series where the crypto were used and now a days every movies have shown that crypto technology is very untraceable way of making payment and on the other side it is promoted for various projects and payment abroad which has impacted crypto now and users are using it.

it is very good movie that is related to bitcoin, and I strongly believe that films related to bitcoin are very good and fun and if you want to see it, you should be able to see it on you tube.

I think there are already good movies that related in bitcoin and I also heard the word bitcoin and cryptcurrencies in some movies. But, I think it will be if someone try to make movies that tackles about cryptocurrencies and bitcoin where it will show how cryptocurrencies started.

There are some must-see documentaries. I strongly suggest watching 'I am Satoshi', 'Rise and Rise of Bitcoin', and 'The End of Money as We Know It'. Enjoy.

I have not yet stumbled on any such movie. But I think it will be a very great idea if a movie can be produced that helps promote the merits and physical life usage of bitcoin. I think it will be a nice publicity stunt.

Banking on bitcoin on Netflix. It shows the start of bitcoin.

I don't know any movie except "No Postage Necessary" - but that is not also totally on Bitcoin, but you will get a ton of short videos and documentaries on youtube about Bitcoin.

At the moment, there are no such films. There are several movies and TV series are close to the current programming environment ( one of the best that I've seen is "Mr. Robot" ), but they are unfortunately outdated and do not meet the existing realities. I think a movie about bitcoin would be very helpful in spreading loyalty towards crypto.

There is "Banking on Bitcoin" I saw on Netfix, it has a 1-month free trial if you're interested. Or maybe you can watch on Youtube but I discovered it via Netfix.
