Title: Re: Localbitcoins scammers? Post by: OmegaStarScream on September 29, 2017, 09:37:56 AM Why trade with someone with no feedback anyway? If the rates sounds too good to be true then you probably shouldn't take the risk (even If he have high trust). I'm pretty sure you will find multiple traders. Localbitcoins has nothing to do with this as you are trading with individuals so you should always watch out and there are people who are actually buying and selling accounts so It's possible that you are not trading with the original owner of the account.

Post by: SM23031997 on September 29, 2017, 10:40:23 AM Localbitcoins is a safe place to trade even with their newest members(Don't use reversible payment methods like PayPal, SEPA etc ). If you get scammed on localbitcoins than you need to re-think about it that how foolish you are? Localbitcoins provide escrow to both the parties which means neither can be scammed. I don't know if anyone is foolish enough to release the bitcoins before getting payment.

If the guys sell Bitcoin for a SEPA/SWIFT transfer and after the transaction is noted as completed, then the guy contact his bank to cancel the transfer. What localbitcoin is going to do, Nothing, it doesn't have any authority on banks, you know?? If the guy sells for Paypal and the buyer open a disupute (or others methods I am not going to tell here ) what localbitcoin will do? Nothing So stop posting your useless advice, I am sure you don't have an account on localbitcoin, nor you understand something Title: Re: Localbitcoins scammers? Post by: xypos on September 30, 2017, 01:16:53 AM Tried doing a sell today with a 0 trade user. He marked the trade as paid in a few minutes without ever even attempting to contact me or actually make the payment. Is this just a common scam attempt they have there now? Well it's very odd because you can easily dispute the transaction with localbitcoins and get your money back since he has no proof that he has paid and you have every proof in the world that you have not been paid. It should be just case of very bad scamming tactics, and that is why you never release before you actually get your btc/fiat. Title: Re: Localbitcoins scammers? I think its the seller that has the intention to scam and localbitcoin is just a way to connect with buyers and sellers. Just be careful and transact only with the reputable seller/buyer. First of all you should have never traded with a user who has absolutely no trade history unless you are dealing with irreversible payment methods which are rare in the fiat transaction payment processors. It's actually quite a stupid scam. Simply open a dispute, and you should be able to get your money back. A mediator will enter your chat, and solve issues. You should be able to get your funds out of escrow fairly quickly. Title: Re: Localbitcoins scammers?
