Greetings my fellow forumites. Please help me find new altcoins that have unique features and please tell me why. I am hodling Burst because its the only altcoin that uses the hard drive with Proof of Capacity for its mining mechanism. I think it will have a good future now that a new set of developers, that call themselves the PoCC, has taken over.

Tell me what other altcoins have that same level of uniqueness as Burst?

please take a look at hut34 project, it's interesting imo. Where the bots are connected in network and talk to each other for business. the Entropy tokens will be used for rewarding bot after successfully solve a problem.

If you carefully look at the most liked altcoins, you will find only a few altcoin currencies in the market with highest market cap of $10 million.
In the history of cryptocurrency, it is an acceptable truth that ethereum is one of the leading altcoin after dominant bitcoin currency.
ICOs are also getting prominent for their unique business ideas, participating in such offerings are also helpful to earn profits.

Majority of all altcoins have it own unique features, most just useless.

I see unique the same as their concept ICO. When they has different concept, clearly road map and also logic target, I call it " unique ". Some ICO doesn't have it, only about price and always price. They forget, customers/ members need to understand what they will get if participated with that ICO? but only profit from price become the main opinion. I choose OPT and HVN as " unique " coin and have a nice day.

Well, I believe most of them actually don't. At least, they have too much in common. It's true they are sort of adjusted to very different things from game items to advertisements. Yet I don't think it really counts as unique features.
OP, I would like to name the coin I mention a lot, which is the most unique coin I've ever seen. I am talking about IOTA. It's uniqueness starts from the fact that it's not a blockchain-based currency. It has a whole different tech called the tangle. It's a graph with knots instead of a chain with blocks. It's kinda hard to understand deeply what it is all about, but it makes the fees free morever, no mining or pos possible and transactions instant.

Unique features could arise either from the tech side (here I mean some really disruptive technologies) or “nontechnical sphere” which are offering new solutions while using well known methods or combination of them. Considering that, what do you prefer? Those arose from innovative tech developments (like ETH was) are so few in numbers and I really can’t tell you if there’s any at the moment.

Currently I follow this one https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/newyorkcoin/, at the first sight it looks pretty shitty, nonetheless I like its fast block confirmations and incoming hype  :)   

There are 2 unique and interesting coin types I know. One of them is tokenized fund coins like taas you can make money by holding it and other one backed coins like link platform you can stake the coins for real silver bullions.

I'm not aware of a project doing what Golem is trying to accomplish, which is create of network were people can share unused CPU power to earn Golem tokens.  There might be a token I'm not aware of, though.  The other place to find unique features is the privacy coin arena, where each coin is trying to accomplish the same thing (total anonymity), but going about it different ways. 

I like the idea behind Golem but its not really that unique. Are you aware of the project called Elastic? I like them better because they have working code, while Golem doesnt.

But I heard they are going to be in the "execution stage" soon whatever that means. I just saw it in their Twitter announcement.

look at the twitter, they are going to conferences
