Title: poloniex margin trading
Post by: PersonG on September 29, 2017, 09:35:53 AM
Hello

I need information about how poloniex margin trading position loans settled

If i have the same collateral and 100% amount which i borrowed to use in margin trading and i closed the position on loss for example i have 10 ETH in my margin and go short 8 eth ( btc/eth price eth=0.1 btc ) so i will borrow 8 eth and close the position on lose 10% price( eth = 0.11 btc ) what will be my balance 2 eth and 0.8 btc because the 8 eth will return from my margin account balance or will back my 8 eth - 10 % = 7.2 ETH ?

if margin trading youre lost in trading is reduce only coin use collateral, after close balance still colateral balance
if you use ETH collateral, you can trade all coin support margin trading in poloniex, if lost 10% youre balance only reduce 10%+fee trading + fee lending(loan)

Poloniex allows 2.5x leverage that means you can borrow upto 1.5x of the amount you have in balance. So if you have 10 ETH than you can sell 25 ETH in margin trading or buy upto 25 ETH for long position.

When you will loss or make profit with your position poloniex will deduct total amount you will loss + lending fee and 15 ETH from that position.
