Title: Connection ping for antminers
Post by: sidzkosic on September 29, 2017, 01:32:13 PM
Hello,
I'm assembling a small mining farm (5 Antminers S9,L3+ and 3 GPU rigs) but I've found out that in my location I have very limited options of internet providers and what's worse limited options what to goes to connection.
I have to choose between:
LTE (good speed im Mbit/s but 90ms ping)
Wireless (up to 10 Mbit/s and ping in 60-70 ms)
DSL (up to 5 Mbit/s and ping in 20ms)

What connection would you choose from this for mining?
So far I had wire connection in different location and I had no problems.
The other thing is that I have no trial period by providers to test all the methods.
Thanks for advices

absolutely DSL! connection speed and bandwith does not important. ping latency more important from them. and miners dont consumes much bandwith, if you want you can set a stratum server to any computer or any pi device. in this way you decrease the band consumption
