Title: Is there nowhere to play NL Holdem tournaments anymore regularly?
Post by: Stevenirving on October 01, 2017, 11:50:44 AM
I am just getting back to playing and I cannot find a site that has regular tournaments. I used to use Seals With Clubs back when they had Apple and web browser support. Betcoin was my alternative and that seems dead. What is the most popular place to play these days?

Betcoin is not dead. They have plenty of daily tournaments with Buy-ins from $0.25 to $1,000.00 and probably even higher. Also they run around twenty freerolls per day with hundreds of participants in each. I know they are not praised much on this forum, to say the least, but I personally have been playing there for almost two years and I have never had any problems with withdrawals. My biggest win there was 0.17 BTC in the 1BTC GTD Tournament this summer. My account was credited immediately and I withdrew the money successfully.

Hey Steven,

Please follow my thread here - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2069122.0

We are launching a new poker room in the next few days. Not a Poker Maven software.
This will have MTT tournaments, Sit&Gos, Cash games, PLAY money mode, Freerolls, first deposit bonus' and a special rakeback structure.

I am giving out 1 mBTC to the first 250 members during the beta.

Please have a look at the thread and if you have any questions, don't hesitate.

Best.

I used to use seals also, was great 2-3 years ago with the in browser option but did still lack numbers back then.  Not sure on current options pokerstars seems to dominate the poker market so much, you can use neteller to effectively get your bitcoin there if you have no luck with finding bitcoin only sites.

I believe nitrogen's poker game is quite lively. Though I would not say that it is still that many but I guess you can get a few tables filled up. I don't really think online poker is really something that people want to play. More of it's a niche and thus doesn't pay well to operate that's why there aren't too many good ones out there.

Im sure your aware that seals had shut down, but in its place is swcpokerif you havent found that yet. They are now using the old grid poker design and its great. You might also check out nitrogen, while I'm not sure how great the tournaments are, there always seems to be some sort of action there.

Just noticed you are on a mac. You might try to google crossover for mac. Its a simple software that lets you use pc applications, i used to use this alot when i was playing poker on a mac. Should be a free trial on there.

You should ask TwitchySeal, what happened to him? He used to keep this section very lively. I've never used them, but you can try SWC poker if you don't like Betcoin, buy in is 100mbtc.

Betcoin Poker continues to deliver huge btc tournaments with low buyins giving you the chance to win life changing bitcoin!

This Sunday, October 1, 2017 at 16:00 EST, Betcoin Poker will host the main event for the mini online super series featuring a 105 BTC GTD prizepool.

The prizepool is guaranteed at $450,000 USD and at the time of this writing is equal to about 105 BTC. Get registered and win today.

Also, don't miss the chance to win one of 20 packages to the Punta Cana Poker Classic this Sunday, MOSS Event #45)

And you say betcoin.ag is dead, that is funny. Try to find another casino that have better paid tournaments. I play at betcoin.ag since I`m here, and tonight is one of the best tournaments 50 GTD thank you free roll, the best cause there is no re-buys, no add-ons, you play poker with chips you have and you really need to be good to win this tournament.
Tournament starts in one hour, you can get ticket on couple ways, first ticket comes with registration I think and later you need to be active on their site to get more tickets for this tournament. Good luck and see you on the poker table, my username there is Underworld, and if you don`t have account there you can pm me and be my ref. if you wish, and I can explain you more about what ever you wish to know about betcoin.ag.

Betcoin is the worst. Their site doesn't work with any of the new Apple OS, but they advertise otherwise. I am running MacOs Seirra so the tournaments load thinking my wallet is empty. Support told me there is nothing anyone can do about it as it requires new programming. So SWC and Betcoin are out.

Thanks to everyone for the recommendation to Nitrogensports. They are great though the lack of players sucks. I really wish people would play SNGs more. Those are what I am best at and there is no where to do them with bitcoin :(

Unfortunately with this the SWC application is unable to connect to the internet so no dice
