Dubai is about to work on its own official financial technology, they plan on creating their own official digital coin like bitcoin that will be named “emCash”.

emCash will be used by the UAE residents as well as official bodies, the emCash is set to make transactions easier in dubai, parents can use emCash to pay for their children’s school fees, utility bill and so on.

Sounds like an interesting concept for the residents of UAE. However, it could also be deemed as a potential investment for any trader international.

If it is promoted and used widely, even inside the UAE, its price could easily render it a decent opportunity.

Using "emcash" primarily in official bodies is a great first step in the right way, as long as duai wants to make this coin more popular and show its pros and cons. Idea approved.

Other countries soon will follows, so each country will have each cryptocurrency, and each govt will ech own exchanger, that's a good jump. This tech will revolutionize the financial system all over the world. That a good news  , I agree with the statement.

I like that some countries saw the opportunity in cryptocurrencies and started to create their own coins. It is better to start and create now a coin than later when a there are going to be a lot of coins on the market.
It is also great for each country to have its own coin because if you dont have cash you can exchange bitcoin to that coin and buy everything you want

I Agree, amazing news. It is another step for us who believes on crypto currency or block chain technology. If other countries follows Dubai then definitely it will revolutionize not just the financial system but also the FIAT system. I know it is still a long way but at least we are moving forward. More and more people are believing on crypto. I can imagine a world that considered money is crypto currency.

if dubai do actually launch their own blockchain based crypto currency i doubt it will be linked to bitcoin. the only similarities would be that it is blockchain based.

I doubt how true this is, I don't think any government would want to create a currency they can't control.

Yes I think this is where the counties in 2018 will start thinking of having their own coin which they can legitimate it and also regulate it. Thus they can also ban all the other currencies once they have make their own coin and which can be used for digital transfer from one person to another.

Good news for Dubai citizens and people living there but this is just a good news for blockchain technology. It does not interest us, it would not be an investment as well.

There is no wrong way to use cryptocurrency, I suppose. But there is a lot to say that this is the type of crypto that was not the vision of Bitcoin or cryptocurrency. Then again, if it helps make lives easier and encourages blockchain and crypto to be accepted, then I guess why not. Also interesting how someone mentioned Dubaicoin. An alt that had nothing except the promise of being expensive due to scarcity. That definitely is a wrong way to use crypto, agree?

It seems with the passage of time more governments are tempted to use an electronic currency, in the case of Dubai I think it smart on their part to enter this field before other countries. This will give them a significant advantage of the effect on the population and costs to maintain it.

Apparently, this will end up being another controlled currency by the government. Like you said, all this digital currencies being created by the government are not at all in line with the gospel according to satoshi, we cannot help but to see them springing up.

It is normal that government will always want to find a way to use the unique innovation to benefit themselves and if the citizens feel it is ok for them to use and to make life easy, then no problem. That will definitely not stop the growth of bitcoin and most especially for this country, I would not really mind holding some of the coins.

despite Dubai would not be one of the first cities that create their own crypto currency, I'm happy to hear that. as much as official city / country will be closer to the crypto world will be good for our community.

So it will be a local Fiat currency then.

While this is cool, it's probably not an investment opportunity.

I've posted this some time ago and got no replies :D Tho, that's the way I see the future of crypto. Nowdays, there are more and more news about countries making their own coin as Japan, Dubai and one eu country... but could people outside of Dubai mine this coin?

This is good news, especially to the middle eastern region. I have heard that Saudi Arabia and some neighboring countries in Middle East are making it very hard for people to purchase bitcoin. This step by Dubai is one move that more open-minded arab countries will surely imitate. Qatar might follow suit soon.

Exciting news, and to me, further evidence that mainstream adoption of blockchain is underway. State actors using cyrptocurrency for government function legitimizes its existance and the more this occurs the deeper it intertwines into our economy.

Let them be an innovating example for other more traditional and conservative countries in that region when it comes to financial aspects!

I think it would be great if Dubai does so, but they also need to ensure that the currency is backed with physical assets i.e Gold. or their fiat currency

Great and interesting development. Crypto currency is being accepted by some countries in the world now and and is being encouraged by the government for use by is citizens. If all countries will do the same soon the whole world will start using digital currencies.

that's there personal issue to introduce there own coin we can not do any thing in it but only thing that matter is how they make it use, is that will only for dubai or they have plan to go for globally and how people react they accept it or not the time will decide 

As far as I understand, in order to get a lot of income, it's not very suitable. However, from the point of view of the distribution of crypto currency, this is simply noteworthy.  Trust will increase, the market will change. One of the news that does not concern me personally, but in general it's just wonderful.
