Title: newbie - where are the guides?
Post by: henning166 on October 01, 2017, 09:44:31 PM
Hi,
I started reading this forum and tried to get some information for bitcoin /alt-coin investement/speculating.
I keep reading newbies should start reading some guides on this forum but I have a hard time finding good guides since they dont seem to be pinned or in an extra section of this forum.
Can u guys recommend a few guides for beginners who want a place on the moon?

Regards

There's a section with guides on CoinCodex (https://coincodex.com/guides/ (https://coincodex.com/guides/)). It's a new site but they are adding new guides every week.

Here's a guide for beginners: https://coincodex.com/guides/27/new-to-cryptocurrency-this-is-how-you-start/ (https://coincodex.com/guides/27/new-to-cryptocurrency-this-is-how-you-start/)

Are you new to bitcoin or cryptocurrencies in general? If so, I'd suggest you don't go straight to trading and investing immediately. I suggest learning about blockchain technology in general first, before going deep into crypto. Trust me. This is a huge deciding factor when deciding on what cryptocurrencies are actually good or bad and also, which ones to invest in.

Google, man, no joke.

The guides on this forum are about how to interact on this forum. There's no guide on how to invest or trade or speculate. (Unless you go to the ICOs board, but those guys don't know what they're talking about...nearly all ICOs are rubbish).

Here's a link that will take you to the promised land! (http://bfy.tw/EF0L)

Welcome to the party, enjoy your journey.

I've found the forum very helpful for me in a way that i found the best wallet that i can use. For your question where to get instant money there is no instant money here you have to work for you to earn just like in the real life.

First, I need to ask you.. what guides do you mean ? If you want some investment in altcoins, I think you just need to buy or collect some and save it to your wallet, as simple as that. But the waiting is the most important thing. First you need to buy the most suitable coin for you. Every coin is basically the same because their price will get high year by year. If you do not have enough money to buy coins, then you might need to start earning some money or some coins in this forum.

You should be looking for the questions that you set yourself in this forum also have a lot of relevant knowledge. Youtube is also home to video tutorials for coin analysis. And you want to follow the news of a co-watch, then take a look on its twitter you will get information about the upcoming events of that coin.

thanks everyone for your help and links.

little more specific question on altcoins:
how do you know if an altcoin got some potential to grow in the future?
is it the blockchain technology. Is it the concept and what it is used for?
