Title: WRONG MONEY ON WALLET
Post by: raphaecrypto on October 02, 2017, 08:30:26 PM
Hi,
i think i made a mistake and i need to get my money back or at least understand what happened
I use blockchain wallet (a BTC and ETH wallet)
18 september  ; I bought for 50 $ of BTC
18 september ; I wanted some Omisego, so using website changelly, I bought with my BTC some Omisego   and it worked. I send for 50$ of BTC
But I received   5 ETH (received history) but my ETH wallet is empty. (I understand there is something wrong).
I would like to know what happen and if I can get back my money
Thx,
Raphael

I don't know if I understood you well, but it seems you paid for some goods online with bitcoin and you want to get your bitcoins back to you wallet. If that's the case, this is impossible as sent bitcoins can't be recovered back unless the receiver send it back to your wallet.

A couple of things, first with any issue with changelly - you should contact changelly. Secondly, it is highly unlikely that you got with 5 ETH for $50. Thirdly, once you send BTC,it is gone and you are at the mercy of the owner of the receiving address for any further discussion.

Mostly check thrice.

Contact changelly.

I wonder if what you are seeing is 5 Tokens showing up in your etherwallet ...  not 5 ether.  OMG is a ether based token, and will be "attached" to your etherium address.  It could just be that your wallet doesn't support etherium tokens very well.  You could try importing that wallet into myetherwallet (make sure you get the right myetherwallet, because there are a ton of fakes out there that will steal your etherium), but since OMG is ~$9, I bet the 5 tokens you are seeing are your OMG.
