Title: Account "colombuszka" hacked, need advice :(
Post by: Norilsk on October 03, 2017, 08:16:41 AM
Dear guys, true member here since 2013.

My account has been hacked, probably the details of the account was stolen from my phone (logged in yesterday from there).
Here is my acc: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=195707

Unfortunately I did not have any BTC address attached to my account, but I sent an ETH address (myetherwallet) in some PMs due to bounty campaigns.

What do you suggest, how could I get back my account?  Sent PM to theymos and Cyrus, but as I mentioned I could not provide any btc address there.

Do you have any experience with matters like this? :(  I'm ina shock now, and I really dont want to lose my beloved account.

Cheeres,
C

Cyrus may accept an ethereum addy if you can forward the pm to him. I can lock your account if you can prove ownership but not restore access to it.

Please, I would be thankful for the lock.

I don't understand how could I forward my PMs to admins.  I have been locked out of my account, and what I have is only some emails about "New Personal Message" what I got.

Should I find the ones who I wrote a PM with my ETH address, and ask for the PM number?

You'll have to get the recipients to forward the message to them in that case.

Sounds fair, I am starting to look up for these messages.  Thanks for the info, I will update the thread soon.

I've contacted one of the teams I sent my ETH address to, hopefully get some response from there in a short time.

I hope the admins are seeing this topic too and will response on my PMs.

Is that addy is from awhile back? Can you post a link to it?

Excuse me, but post a link to what? :) Not clear for me :/  Anyway, thanks for the negative vote on my account, I hope it will make a difference or something.
When I get back my account (if I, have not received any PM from admins yet :( ) will you be able to remove a rating or not?

I participated in several bounties, and I had to send my ETH address to receive the tokens.  Like with Mysterium for example.
But beside that I think I sent my WAVES address too in the WAVES campaign (I was the Hungarian translator by the way and I posted all things on bitcoingarden forum), so if I can prove my identity through my WAVES address or via bitcoingarden user (it has another accountname/password, so it was not hacked).  I posted several translations to that forum because Hungarians don't have an announcement thread here.

Anyway, I'm just sitting here and waiting for response from the Mysterium devs.  I will try to reach out to WAVES team too.

But would be nice to get some response from Cyrus too :(

If any mods read this:

I would like to apologize for my PMs towards you, I totally misunderstood the whole signature thing.
The topic below came to into my attention by a user on how to sign a message.  I will only send you the the requested infos on my account when I got my ETH address infos.  (By the way, is there anybody who got back his/her account via ETH?)

If there anybody who doesn't know what is is signature all about, read this:

Yes it is, thanks.  I already spoke with him.  Lucky guy posted his address on the forum before the hack :)

It looks like I will be able to recover my account.

The hacker sold it as his own, and the buyer only found out its stolen after the purchase.  He only bought it to make posting here easier, but didn't know that it was hacked from someone else.  He sent me a PM from my account and provided everything to recover my former account.

Fck, it is very good to see such a nice move from somebody around the world.   I will provide an ETH address here and will make a signed message from my account "colombuszka" here too, so you can see that I control that account again.

Is there any way to remove the trust "-1" from the account?

Have a nice day guys!  8)

.:EDIT:.

I already provided one here before: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=990345.msg22903560#msg22903560

So I will sign a message from 0x682a492bd9f3fc89db74f6e659a590dbc1e0313a

Glad to hear that. Did the buyer agree to return the account to you (the original owner) for free? Damn, people need to be more careful before buying an account here.

To remove the negative rating, you'll need to ask the feedback sender (KWH) to remove it. Send him a PM with a signed message to prove that you have regained access to the account.

Yes, he agreed.  I tried to ask him for a BTC or ETH address to send him some donation, or the purchase price, but he refused it and said "will consider this as a loss".  What a nice guy there.

Thanks, I will do that then.

.:EDIT:.
Lel1: I signed a message with a ": )"  smiley on it, which got translated into a graphic smiley here in the forum, so you were not able to verify my message.
Lel2: For some reason I cannot see if my second message got verified or not (myetherwallet does nothing for me now). I have to sleep, but I will figure out the situation ASAP after I got up.  Please reply if you could verify the message or not.  Thank you!
.:EDIT:.
