It may up to $7-10 I think it is one of the best coins after zcash and monero and their marketing activities are really amazing.

I think overall pivix is good coin in longterm and with good news it could be ok to buy on supports. Especially with more regulation in countries like China it will be more interest in private coins with good technology.

WHOOOHOO  finally  ;D  PIVX is awesome, the first masternode coin I've owned and learned how to setup.  I'm very excited about this release and the potential of PIVX!

I think that after the difficult upgrade and with the release of the rc3 toward full anonymization and the full reopening of the exchanges, it will be an interesting period.

32    PIVX    $184,655,609    $3.30    $413,965    55,906,607 PIVX *    1.61%

All right, so since this post was created, all three things in the roadmap have activated, with the final one being Zerocoin protocol. The end result? A price drop of more than 10%, fiat value. I am too lazy to calculate the BTC value drop, but I am certain it is not much better than any other alt that withered under Bitcoin's rise. Just goes to show, you cannot always just buy the news. And if this looks like an entry point, check Bitcoin and see that it recovered >10% after Bitcoin Gold!

It doesn't have a stable wallet yet, they're working on it. Wait with your judgement.

FYI it is the first time that a coin integrated the zerocoin protocol while removing the anonymization by the masternodes almost flawlessly. Yes ver 3.0.0 was a little bugy by charging the accumulator with more than 10% of the total pivx holding, but since then a lot of version (now 3.0.4rc3) have been released.

Of course exchanges have had to stop trading for some or restrict wallet functions. But all in all, in my opinion it was a very smooth upgrade relative to the improvements.

How can you say that it was smooth? I get that you really like PIVX but be realistic.

Before RC2/3 everyone forked off left and right for days which meant the network was basically not working for the majority of people. That, along with the 30-40% automint instead of 10% is nothing to be proud of. A project this size should have found and solved these issues during testing, and not on a ~$180 million live net.

Once everything stabilizes though, yes it will be a great achievement but was it smooth? No, it was the opposite of smooth.

With the final release, I still think that this total revamp of pivx has been ultra smooth:

CORE 3.0.4 FINAL WALLET NOW AVAILABLE - MUST UPGRADE - OCT/29/2017

Core 3.0.4 Final wallet binaries & full release note is now available on github.
https://github.com/PIVX-Project/PIVX/releases/tag/v3.0.4

Mandatory PIVX v3.0.4 (final) core wallet update has been released. This is the stable GA build which all users can use. All exchanges have been notified to update to this build. It includes numerous additional fixes & enhancements over the RC3 release. Please check the release notes for the full change log. (Note: NO ONE should be running any other version than THIS ONE. So please upgrade asap.)

WHAT TO DO

1. If your 3.0.4 RC2 or RC3 is working fine right now and is on the right chain, you do not have to re-sync the blockchain from beginning when upgrading to 3.0.4 final. You just need to shut down the RC2/RC3 wallet, install (or replace files) to the new 3.0.4 wallet, then restart the wallet. Wait for it to recalculate/sync. Voila.

2. If you aren't even running 3.0.4 RC2 or RC3 yet, then you must upgrade to this 3.0.4 final release and re-sync the blockchain: (3.0.4 wallet now has built-in -resync option in CLI & GUI)
https://forum.pivx.org/t/pivx-core-wallet-3-0-4-final-release-10-29-2017/

3. If you are a self-compiler, please DO NOT compile from master. Compile using the 3.0.4 tag (git checkout v3.0.4).

Always check @_pivx and my Twitter for latest announcements. (or Slack #announcments channel)

Frankly, it took less than 2 weeks to solve most of the issues with the transition from masternode to a totally fungible low energy very fast system.

Let's see what the market will do once the exchange wallets are upgraded:

32    PIVX    $180,838,795    $3.31    $370,732    54,600,591 PIVX *    2.46%    sparkline

I don't think the price can move up that much, the sentiment is the market is still there, most people are still not conficent holding altcoins, see ethereum, the Devcon is neatr and the price is still down and most other coins
