Hey Guys this is a little Heads up for the people and for this community I found a serious problem regarding on airdrops..

There's someone using your name to fill and accumulate some tokens under your name.

If you never join any airdrop program here you should be worried right now..

I saw mprep,minerjones,xandry and other trusted guys been used for this abused..

We must be careful for future problem coming.

I saw my name too, I never applied for any such airdrop.ETH address specified in the sheet has never been used by me.

How can they get a payment just for posting their username with no benefit to the campaign? Don't they have to put a signature in? Surely if not it's a very flawed system.  Thread has been trashed any way.

It started with airdrop and now bounty campaign.

I noticed those names too, However they wouldnt have gone through since the requirement was to send a confirmation message with your bitcoin talk account to the dev.
I dont think it was a flawed system in that regard.

Never joined this airdrop as others and i would like to see some explanations from DragonExchange (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1186517) before he get negative trust.

probably the scammers used the names,I personally did not write,was the Google form to participate,and all anyone could write as soon as you throw the required number of participants,the form was disabled

Anyone could write whatever he wanted? If yes, this was a very stupid mistake.

Told you already. There should be a mechanism to check fakes. Just filling a form is not enough. Ebtc is one of that abused airdrops

This I can attest to, As my name was not colored on the sheet until I confirmed via a PM with my eth address.

That is correct, my mistake in mentioning colored name. I do not know what that stands for. However i meant to refer to colored rank and time stamp. These are not colored on your behalf.

Do you mean to say you received a confirmation from me, or that you labelled me a cheater?

I'd have to disagree with both statements, unless my account was hacked there shouldn't have been any confirmations being sent with my account, and i can honestly say i haven't cheated anybody.

Confirming that I have NOT joined the airdrop. Seems pretty petty trying to scam out airdrop tokens.

I believe he means to say The selected names that he pointed to in the image with an arrow have been confirmed by sending PM from the said bitcointalk account, but if you look at the image, your name was used by a cheater, and hence it was marked. So if you were to actually apply for the airdrop, you would confirm via pm, and your real account will be confirmed, and time stamp and rank will be colored. The cheat account will be deleted.

a simple example to understand,fill in any words form and you automatically will see it in the table,Yes my fault that I have not fully configured it,but it's my fault.

The best way to recover from this mess is to tell the participants to put their ETH address in their accounts.. I know it will take time to verify, other than that u may need to restart the registration procedure

The best section would be Announcements. Please make it mandatory for the participants to use their ETH address in their profile

i would say to make a list of those that have already verified by pm on this forum, then fill in the remaining slots with a better system,? just an idea and will shorten the process also!

also putting the eth wallet in the website title of the persons profile will allow for fast verification also

but please do consider to give a bit better of calculating the amounts ok?

I calculated roughly how many tokens each member can get.

Hero Member and above :25 DET
Senior Member: 35 DET
Member         :16 DET
Jr.member      :12 DET
Newbie           :1 DET

Give them a week time to verify the ownership since it took less than 3 days for the airdrop to be over. So, 1 week is enough. After that no claims.

The thing is the link provided by OP to Dragon Exchange thread might have been moved already.

What's wrong in being a newbie?

I keep reading from you seniors that that's an issue. But you all were newbies once as well.

Newbie in the sense of being registered to this forum doesn't mean that the person is a newbie for real... Could be a perfect legit investor who just discovered Bitcointalk.org and is now trying to keep up with what's going on. That's my case, so I feel like being considered as a fake/cheater per default is a bit discriminatory. Not being actively part in the discussion also does not mean someone is not reading and learning by following others posts.

On the other hand, I understand that cheaters are everywhere and there must be rules and ways to verify who's allowed to take part to airdrops, bounties or even participate in the community. But that's something you should solve.

Just my two sats.

We think the solution proposed by the user tamara163 is a good one.
We already limited the airdrop for newbie users (you should be Jr. Member or above and you must be registered before a certain date of last september). We may add also the request for ETH address in profile or signature. We can also request the users to send us a PM for confirmation.

Any mod please can confirm us that these measures could be enough? We would like to start our fair airdrop, thank you

Actually the problem is that the airdrop requires to post on the thread to join the airdrop which could result to spam since not all read the purpose of the topic or project since all they want is the free coin. Another problem for airdrop is the Fill-up form where they don't need to prove ownership since all they want is the username, profile link and eth or waves address where anyone can do so people just search a random username and fill-up the form where the owner of the account doesn't even know what happened. 
Better to use the PM option and limit the airdrop for a certain number of person to join.

We agree with the PM option, and we may limit to a cap of applications, we will discuss internally about the latter.
If any mod can confirm that it's ok to proceed this way, maybe we won't have another ANN topic closed.

I think this is a viable solution for now. More task to take but its okey, besides participants are getting the coins for free anyway. I agree on this suggestion.

I would say get a quick one page site up where u can have registration and just post it in your thread but don't say anything about bounty payouts based on membership. Bitcointalk won't allow that now, the levying of memberships for value, but they will let you post your coin you just need a link to another page off bitcointalk since you had it based on memberships. I also would suggest maybe making the bounties a twitter follow or retweet system to better expose the coin. I'd love to talk more if you wanna PM me!

Confirmation by PM is best way to make cheater not duplicate accounts to get airdrops.

Right. There are airdrops that you need to send pm with your ETH address to them so I hope this needs to be followed by ICOs who will announce airdrops in the future. I just imagined on how many MEW wallets those cheaters have.

We discussed about the new registration rules for the airdrop, and we decided to move to something not related to Bitcointalk username or rank, since we think that checking PM one by one is really unpractical.
So we are thinking about allowing everyone to enter the airdrop, but the distribution will be granted only to users that provide a non-zero ETH balance address, or a defined minimum balance. This way can avoid spamming too much addresses and can also be a fair distribution for newbie users aswell.
We can maybe use a PM confirmation for other future airdrops, but only to a limited number of users, still not sure about this.

If any mod can kindly confirm we can proceed this way, it would be really appreciated, thank you

It is not our intention to open a topic where users can spam messages just to increase their rank.
