I dont have a computer right now.
Just an android and an iPad... So desktop wallets are not an option for me.

That said, which between a mobile or online wallet do you experienced investors out there prefer and why?

Choose mobile wallet. I would recommend you to use Mycelium on your Android. Mycelium is a lightweight wallet that gives you full control of your private key (it requires you to back up your private key). Online wallet usually does not. Look blockchain.info online wallet for example, AFAIK you can't access your private key, only some backup phrases or something. If you don't own the address private key = you don't own the Bitcoin in that address. Storing your BTC in online wallet also means giving someone else (the online wallet service provider) control of your Bitcoin.

So, stick to desktop or mobile wallet that give you (and only you) full control of your Bitcoins.

Since  you don't private keys in web wallet except for blockchain i think its not safe to use a wallet online..
For now mobile with be good choice but if you have a laptop there are other option that can be more secured to save your bitcoin..
What the above said be recommended for mobile .. But if you have laptop or desktop choose electrum wallet but make sure to save backup seeds and private keys for future recovery backup..
Coinbase would also good as online web wallet since coinbase is legal and licensed your bitcoin could be safe.. but the problem you don't have power to control wallet since you don't have any private keys to save and they don't let you backup it..

Not really any difference. Your wallet is only as secure as your device. I'd say if you're going to not download a desktop client then use blockchain.info and enable 2fa(install google authenticator or whatever on your other device). Otherwise, use mycelium. Both are pretty established in terms of security.

It's really up to personal preference, as long as you hold your own keys you should be fine.

There is actually a huge difference. But the difference is not depending on if the wallet is "online" or not. It depends if the wallet gives you access to the private keys, which most wallet apps have, whereas most online web wallets don't have.

To OP:
on android, go use Copay or Mycelium.
on iOS, go with BreadWallet.

I think two of this are all ok, but be careful use main current wallet. The little crow wallet mybe have safe problem. You can get a paper wallet from online.

In my personal opinion I feel safer having a mobile wallet rather than a web based as the web based wallets are consistently online increasing the chance of penetration by a outside party.

A wallet on your phone is better. I recommend Airbitz, because it is designed to be easy-to-use.

In general, avoid online wallet sites that don't give you full and exclusive control of your private keys. They have a terrible track record for keeping your money safe.

Mycellicum is great for bitcoin and it interacts with hardware wallet trezor and ledger nano s with an android and micro usb otg cable.  Jaxx is ok multi crypto mobile wallet and they have online version.

Depends on how you use your coins.

For someone who's always connected on the internet and wants fast transactions just by copy and pasting, web wallets are the go-to. But for someone who needs a bit of a security and more control over their wallet, they'd get a desktop or mobile wallet. Both fulfills the role of sending and receiving tx, but personally I'd go to something that can hold my money without someone doing that for me and giving me full control over what I have.

Myetherwallet is great as an online UI for browser side Ethereum blockchain interaction that does not store your keys.

I personally prefer the security of hardware wallets, specifically ledger nano s and Trezor, for larger amounts of crypto.
Ill use Jaxx, mycelium, as my back pocket carry around wallets, and Exodus as a supplement.

A mobile wallet on a phone that isn't your primary. You can keep it in airplane mode or just use it on your home network. Since you can control if it is connected to the internet or not, you can essentially have your mobile wallet that is in cold storage.

For me i prefer online wallet since i used it for a months now. make sure that your E wallet is trusted and has very good security

I prefer to use mobile wallet because it  is handy. Easy to use and hassle free. But online wallet is too hassle. The only thing worse if you loss the phone.

I second what Cody said. I use mycelium on mobile android. It is the best ever.
Other than that any wallet that let's you have full control. No private keys. No go.

Online wallet, make sure you enact the 2FA security.

A mobile wallet keeps everything on your device, if you're device gets stolen you have no chance of recovering your funds - others, correct me if I'm wrong here.

Some will say that a mobile wallet makes it easier for you to spend or transact your bitcoin, but this isn't necessarily true. Most online wallets have great mobile apps for access.

The on benefit of mobile wallets is that most keep your bitcoin on your phone, you maintain control...as long as you have possession of your device.
