there was a way in order to unlock the private key and view it on the cold storage wallets does anyone know the way to view this

Not sure if this is what you mean but you can generate a watching-online wallet from Armory on the offline machine (cold storage) and import that into Armory on an online machine.  You can see the balances but cannot spend from this online Armory.

So, can i recover my wallet on any different client with those keys ?

so when i look at the exported private key list these private keys wont work for the standard bitcoin client?

Assuming the private key is for an address funded with P2PKH scripts... and it had bitcoin in it when BCH forked, then yes... you should be able to export your private keys and import them into Bitcoin ABC.

Is this advisable? Not really... you should basically consider your offline storage compromised as you're exposing your keys. I'd recommend first moving all your BTC prior to exporting the private keys from Armory to be safe. That way, if your private keys get stolen, only your BCH is at risk as your BTC would have already been moved.

Can I do follow steps to reduce the risk?

1. export a private key from offline wallet
2. send out the BTC under this private key. It will create a new private key for this btc.
3. Use the exported private key to claim bbc from Bitcoin ABC
4. Transfer/ sell out the bcc

Yes, that will work. 

IMPORTANT:  In step B, move the BTC to another wallet, not to another address in the same wallet.  Compromising just one private key compromises the whole wallet.  With one private key and the chain code (unencrypted in the watch-only wallet) you can generate all the following keys!.

If you didn't update to 0.96, you can't have any of these script types. If you did, you have to check on the online machine, through the address tree in the wallet properties dialog.

Am I able to import into the new armory and then transfer my bch or are they lost forever. 

As long as you have the private keys, you have the BCH, I don't understand where "lost forever" part is coming from.

Sorry to be so confusing.  At the time of the fork I had my btc stored on Armory 0.93.3.   On the bitcoincash explorer my bitcoincash coins show up on my address.  

My question was that can I import this key into a wallet and retrieve my bch.

This statement shows that my keys are invalid.  Is this true or is it possible to import them into the new armory and send my bch to an exchange or possibly another wallet provider.  Thanks for your help.

You are placing the sentence out of context in 2 instance. The question I was replying to was "can I import my private keys into another wallet to spend coins from". The reply is only those private keys hold coins under the aforementioned scripts types. You missed the context a second time when asking about how to check for script types in Armory. My reply was that this point is moot in anything pre 0.96, as Armory only ever used P2PKH prior to that release.

Your question is simply "can I use an old Armory wallet in the most recent release". The answer is obviously yes.
