Title: my current holdings- made 3.5x my money in the past 6 months. Post by: monkeymustache on October 06, 2017, 08:03:22 AM Hey guys, I am a long time lurker and crypto enthusiast, I just wanted to get some opinion about my portfolio in case you guys think I am going to miss something big. It has been a very good portfolio so far, but I guess there is always room for improvement.
In order of importance: BTC Monero ETH NEO LTC Bitquence - BQX (would like your opinions on this one) Civic ETC OMG Waves Qtum PAY XRP Safex researching to add: Lisk ARK Xspec SYS Shift Walton STRAT GAS BAT I know it is a really big portfolio, especially with the coins I am thinking about adding and it is already pretty hard to follow. But I figured all I would need would be 2 or 3 of them that really kicks off would be enough to put me in the green even if the rest go to 0. Do you think I am missing an important coin? Choose 5 or 7 coins that you can trust in the long term most. It would be more profitable.

Its gonna be hard in your end to track all of this. I think you should sell some of them and really stick to the coins that have a good potential based on your investigation. Ill try to make the portfolio smaller, but I have a really hard time figuring out which ones I should remove as I do think that most of those coins have a better future than where they are now.
I will look into IOTA to. I never really researched about it as I remember I did not like what I was reading about a few months back but to be honest, I don't even remember what it was. The main thing in my opinion is that you have the old reliables are present, bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin, monero, Ripple but no dash? 6 months ago XRP: 3000 satoshi top of the pump XRP: 24000 satoshi profit from selling on top: 8x (700%) current XRP price: 4000-5000 satoshi profit from holding: 1.3x (33%) this is true for all the rest of the altcoins in your list by the way. Making some mistakes, cashing out, making good moves, adding money to my trades. So yeah Not just putting all my money in at the positions I currently have 6 months ago. My biggest regret was moving some money out of Monero a bit before the recent massive pump. I use to like DASH but now that it is out that they are not as private as I once thought anyway, I moved the money I had in it to Monero. I know that dash has a lot more useful features than just "privacy" but that kind of put me off. Perhaps I took a very impulsive decision tho. Ur supposed to have made a lot more than 3.5x Nope, I bought my first few NEO when they were 7$ if I remember correctly, Made x3 on the money I put in it. Sold half of it to daytrade and then added back to my position when it was in the high 20. I sold none of it when it reached the 50s as I was confident it would touch 100 soon. (i still think that, just not as soon as I thought). So yeah, I gradually put more money during that 6 months period. The coins you have are all really great for an investment. I think ARK and STRAT must be a good deal of investment from the list you mentioned. I am myself planning on to invest some of my money in these coins. It is actually getting pretty hard to handle. I am hesitating in between choosing good projects, investing in them and closing my eyes (still leaving them a bit open). Or pinpointing my favorite 10 and being able to stay informed and updated to the last news all the time. I really feel like I checked mate myself at this point tho as I have no idea of what coins I should ditch and which I should add to be my perfect 10. I like the coins I own and believe that most of them will take off. I would feel bad to sell some positions now too as some were bought just before the recent correction at the beggining of september, so most of them havent fully recovered yet. Yeah I could have made a lot more but I mentioned that I gradually invested my money during that 6 months period. So not all my money had time to do the x8. so nothing weird here. + I sold nothing before the september correction. Just that sets me back almost x2. Well hopefully the market will turn bullish again, but as of now, I have a 50-50 feeling about it. No matter what happens tho I wont cash out anything, I am in for the long run, hoping that this time, I could catch a x8 with all my money in. |
