Title: Is Ripple's Rally Over? XRP Price Runs Into Roadblock
Post by: real_links on October 06, 2017, 09:14:16 PM
Fresh off setting a one-month high, the price of ripple's native cryptocurrency, XRP, is struggling to cut through resistance offered by a rising channel hurdle.

At press time, the ripple-US dollar (XRP/USD) exchange rate is $0.24, and while that figure is up 4.24 percent on the day and 21.89 percent week-over-week, it seems further gains may be difficult.

Well, i invested in ripple because I thought it is cheap, they have a great team and the conference would up their prices greatly. They are fine, and back to the .24 you posted, but my money would be better off with bitcoin I guess.

2018 will be better for XRP than BTC , just my opinion. Ripple will have constant good news and growing usage of XRP from fintechs and banks and so on

Nah, Ripple will come back up quite soon. The integration that these guys have with Banks and the fact that they are partnering with so many financial institutions just shows the potential that Ripples has. The coin has performed quite well this year and it will keep on performing well, because many are pushing things and the network for payment settlements is taking pace.. slowly but steady. I really like the development team as well. The only concern is the obvious distribution of the initial tokens which was anything but fair, too much centralization goes against the mentality of blockchain but I guess we'll be seeing many new surprises as times passes by and I'm sure there is enough space for all of the project out there. Forecast for Ripple is bullish.

It's all up to your expectation from ripple. If American Express is correct and then we'll see a huge price increase from ripple because it will be officially being used in the payment and banking sector with those AE cards.

Further gain may not be difficult as I think by tomorrow as  the news of ether hack started coming in people are dropping it for other coins and this is going to impact ripple positively. We expect a very serious upward movement in days to come. I think before next week we may get to 0.3usd

If you compare Ripple with Bitcoin, Ripple has real value, and real business use cases. If one day speculators say "ok guys, Bitcoin is bullshit, let's switch to Bitcoin Cash or Gold " Bitcoin could fell down to 100$, because it does'n have real economics value.

so far it seems like each time ripple is pumped, the whales wait a little to see if XRP has any more chance of rising and when they give up on that hope they suddenly start dumping large amounts of this coin on the market, maybe it is just a coincidence but usually the foundation releases a large amount of it near that time, it is even possible they pump it so they can dump and earn a lot of money.

if we wanted to use a centralized and unlimited currency we would have continued using fiat, we never even started bitcoin in first place!

I was surprised recently to see Ripple rising, I had a couple of thousand
about 6 months ago and sold it all and was tempted to buy again but
no i'm not going to.

what do people want from Ripple? because whatever it is its not going to
happen, the supply is controlled and therefore the price will always be
restricted.

The only thing that attracts people to buy into in it is the price of $0.20
approx. and in order to make gains you have to buy a lot!
