Title: Where does your biggest return come from, in cryptocurrency ?
Post by: filgaia on October 07, 2017, 08:03:01 PM
Hey guys, I am new here, but I would like to know for all the OG's out there, or if you are long enough in the cryptocurrency market.
What has been your best strategy for biggest gain in cryptomarket so far?

Is it bitcoin?
Is it emerging altcoins?
Is it altcoins with big market cap?
Is it altcoins with micro market cap?
Is it day trading?
Is it staking? If so, staking what?
Is it mining? If so, mining what?

Also, please share the strategy here for noobs :)

Thank you.
Cheers

I'm far from OG but managed to get the largest profit in Q2 this year as the cryptomarket was extremely bullish. So riding the bullrun was actually some sort of improvised 'strategy'. Although my profits measured in fiat money were significant, I barely gained ground relative to Bitcoin as I screwed some trades up bigtime.

ARK contributed the most to my profits in this timespan. Day trading isn't my cup of tea, what I do can be described as week trading.

Advised strategy for noobs? Stick to a planned strategy, don't buy into peaks and do a lot of research before investing. I've made mistakes in regards to the three mentioned points up until recently so I'm kinda a noob myself still!

I usually just bought in low and sold in high (prefer small coin), and analysing some data (ex: price movement in last week) to make sure about my decision.
That's enough to give me big profit. but don't know maybe luck playing here

My strategy is to find the best potential coins, buy at low. My criteria is listed as follow:
1. active dev team, have experience in developing blockchain technology
2. their road map is reachable, not something existing in mind, imagination stuff

The only profits i made was from holding my coins. then i started with some day trading and made some good profit...but then i lost a lot! so day trading is very hard and risky! If you believe in a project just hold the coin and sell when its worth a lot.

Day trading gives me about $5-10 a day. It's not that good.

ICO returns sometimes be very good and make 2x 3x pump according to the initial investment.

Mining, I tried, but I couldn't pay my electricity bills and I sold GPUs.

My biggest return is on bitcoin in the year end of 2016, because as you can see the price is skyrocketed like 300 or 400%.
Im trading altcoins but only the frontliners like stratis or ETH. (yup, big market cap).
Sometimes in airdrops and airdrops nowadays is so many and you don't know where to fill up.
Staking of signature campaigns also really help because you are going to earn altcoins and you can either hold it , sell it, or trade it.
Im still in the process of learning how to mine.
Best strategy? be open minded, hardworking, learn, and dream. Even the experts once a noob so, work hard till you get there. ;)

90% of my earnings (or perhaps even higher) in the crypto-currency came solely from Bitcoin. I am earning quite a few mBTCs every day from signature campaigns and social media bounties, and I get some mBTCs for displaying advertisements in my blogs. But that doesn't mean that I haven't earned any altcoins. I have successfully traded currency pairs such as BTC/LTC and BTC/ETH.

Mostly whatever little I have traded it has been altcoins. I tried trading with some newer coins, it didn't work out very well, I'm not good at it I guess because I have seen many others make profit from it. Secondly, I traded some popular altcoins, with is probably the best way to trade made some nice profit. And then obviously we have btc trading, very easy to make profit of you have some patience.

You have got almost everything there a crypto lover would want to earn from. My earnings are not coming from one source and that is just not possible at all be ayes earning loads of money from one service isn't enough because it's legit but very slow. It's better to distribute our investment into different kinds of trading platform, different coins, and obviously bitcoin should be treated separately because it works differently for me. I'm earning more than enough from my bitcoin holding and free money from the gambling. It's risky but still have got big potential to earn back. Also you forgot ICO investment, though they are getting scummy there but there is still hope in hem and one of ten will come as legit ICO to give us big profits.

I simply just held a small decent amount of NEO when it was still around $6, and when it was still branded as "Antshares". Comes to show how much gains you can gain by simply just being patient and holding your cryptocurrency investments. It's better too compared to daytrading in my opinion, as I wouldn't have to stare at charts all day.

The greater part of my earnings come from bitcoin. Since i have not been longer in cryptocurrency market, i mostly trade a few altcoins as well as tokens apart from bitcoin.
I read referances, tips to make my trading strategy more better. I look for ethereum based tokens and if i find them satisfying, i would not bother buying thousands.
Sometimes tokens are worth buying than altcoins.

biggest return of mine, percentage-wise has been from trading altcoins. I join in the pump and dumps before they start and get out before it is at their finish. sometimes I even do some day trading to make profit from the daily swings of different coins.

but biggest return of mine, amount-wise has been from bitcoin. in have been buying bitcoin for 3+ years and all the profit of trading is also kept in bitcoin and bitcoin is obviously gaining value over time. that means the most amount of profit for me. specially since I limit the amount I trade with.

It is still bitcoin for me. My strategy is to buy in dips. And then hold. I had a few investment in ICO around April I think but I dump it. But boy I was wrong because after a few months it was listed in an exchange and it went to x10 or more. But that's good no regrets on my end. Currently I still have a token that I bought and I'm gonna hold it for like 6 months and see how will it evolved. I'm satisfied my with bitcoin holding so I guess I'll stick to it and get it when the price is at discount. I'll start fresh next year.

Every trader will have the same idea buy low and sell them at the high price but at the same time, we have analyzed the market by reading the charts and candlesticks. Trading always will not give profits we have to patiently until the price increases.

I do not recommend limiting yourself to an area, if you have the time and ability, it is better to work in many areas. Learn the techniques and methods over time.

My most profit comes from buying alts and hold them for maybe 2-3 months (the most noticeable are ripple, xvg, mco, neo, neblio). Usually i seach for altcoin with active development team and community members behind it, especially if the marketcap still small. I don't join ico often but if i do i always avoid ico with big hype and high cap.

My biggest gains in cryptocurrency comes from Bitcoin.
I bought my first coin 4 years ago when it was at $120.
I then started exchanging Bitcoin for PayPal with a rate in my favor and kept buying more with my profit.
At a price of $300 I sold some of it, with a profit of more then 100%.
Luckily I did not sale everything, because that $120 is now worth more then $4400

Its a day trading i get 10$ everyday by doing short trade. Sometimes its hard because i need to watch it if when i buy or sell.
You need to focus on it that is my strategy. Time and watch  is really important if you want to get profit.

its too many question you asked but its okay. the biggest gain is bitcoin. if i am doing day trading, i am trying with altcoin pair btc first and then i will see if there is any chance for me to trade btc pair fiat and if its no chance, then i only trade altcoin-btc. i am mining too in genesis mining, hashnest, eobot, and hashflare because i am with them for this almost 2 years later. but i admitted that my biggest gain is in trading altcoin pair btc and i think i can make a good profit.

As I am not too much playing with altcoins my biggest return comes from Bitcoin itself. I am still holding coins that I bought back when the price was about $200-250. I buy some altcoins from time to time but usually, I don't keep them long enough. Mining and trading are definitely not for me, so I try to avoid those parts.

My opinion from least to highest risk
1. Buy and hold bitcoin. 2. Choose 10 cryptos of the top 20 you believe in. Look for big dips in price.  If the dip is not because of some fundamental problem with the coin or it's previous price action buy the dips.  3. Look for ICOs that have a good purpose, good leadership, good community and new functionality (Not just a Bitcoin with a new logo).  4. Lend Bitconnect

So far though, my biggest return out of all the cryptocurrencies would be bitcoin. Based on the day trading though but this is just recently, because I just focused on day trading and tried it if it makes me profit more.

Bitcoin markets are main target for my trading activity but there are good alternatives on the big exchanges.Never expect high ROI from bitcoin trading than altcoin trading.

Bitcoin is not good in day trading since the movement is for long term in order to make a good profit in bitcoin invest more and sell them in the future or in few months if the price of bitcoin is actually high enough to sell and look for the trends if you heard some good news for bitcoin better to not selling them but if you heard a bad new sell them to save to promoting..
this is the happening in other top altcoin rankings except for new release altcoin or ICO... only $500k cap below are good in day trading because the movement of the price is actually fast and high.. unlike altcoin in above 500k cap..

For me i think bitcoin and altcoin trading is the biggest return, which is responsible for my profit. In fact i have a good experience in trading altcoin as i am engaged in trading for last few years, therefore i know all the ups and down in bitcoin and that is the reason that i can get a good return bitcoin trading bitcoin and so many other altcoins.
