Title: Bitcoin on Ether?
Post by: pywenx on October 08, 2017, 03:03:38 PM
One Altcoin eBTC was announced. I know It's NOT good at code and people are dumping.
But I want to know what do you think about the idea to combine BTC and ETH. Thanks

Bitcoin is father of all coins but ethereum has their own potential. For example almost more than 70% of latest ICO offere projects preferred to create Erc20 token on ethereum network.

I don't think it's a good idea if bitcoin would have ethereum's capabilities to make smart contracts easily. We already have tons and tons of random shitcoins based off of ethereums, having those things on bitcoin would be a whole lot of problem. But then again, those coins(even the combined btc and eth) would be just another altcoin.

Agreed with your views, there are advantages and disadvantages. Nevertheless, I prefer BTC in its original form. This is why it is so valuable.

I bought some eBTC. I'm losing real money.

I think I've seen a topic like this. for this case I would still choose bitcoin, because we know that bitcoin is the best. Ethereum is a good coin with a very large community, but when compared with bitcoin, I'm sure bitcoin is still superior.

I think it is interesting to learn if the merger between BTC and ETH can be an alternative coin that has great potential for growth as it sees from BTC and ETH a popular and high value coin in the crypto market.

While this does sound cool, something like this will never happen. They're the two biggest coins in the altcoin marketplace and it would be insane to even think about them merging together. Plus the fact that Bitcoin is a currency / trading currency while the only use for Ether is really only trading by people who are trying to make a quick buck.

Sad but that is the truth.

Isn't this kinda expected when buying a shitcoin.

currently, BTC and ETH are the parents of cryptocurrency even though most users still recognize that BTC is the parent of the coin in the world as the basis for determining the price of other coins.
but if BTC and ETH are combined this might be a new breakthrough in the world of great cryptocurrency which affects both positivity and negativity depending on how the next development of the two coins is combined.
but currently, I still use BTC to be a reference in managing cryptocurrency that I have.

BitCoin is the mother of e-currency also known as Crypto currency with a strong value in market.

I would prefer to use transactions in BitCoin instead of using some thing different.

The have vastly different goals. I favour bitcoin for it's decentralization (always a battle), PoW, and it being a currency. Am not really sure what ether is.. like some kind of onramp for businesses? and at present a lot of scammy ICOs.

Both are great investments. Bitcoin is the top coin. Ethereum is a good option especially if you plan on investing in ico's. I am new to the scene but every ico I have looked in to accepts only Etherium.

Combine BTC and ETH? why? it certainly won't happen and i really don't want to see BTC combine with ETH. eBTC was/is created just for pump and dump, what good is it having an BTC erc token?

Having the same name is not being the same thing, it could be done or not we should ask the coders but I think it's possible to have a POW smart contract on Ξ with smart contracts everything is possible. Bitcoin will die soon. eBTC is here to kill it. lol
If eBTC make it to $1 I will buy a house and jump pussies for the rest of my life, I have a million coins. second lol.

I own a small amount of both and I am looking to find a few more good coins as I think there is opportunity for more than one coin to succeed. This does not mean every coin out there will make it long term, but it also isn't a "there can only be one" type of situation either. I will check out eBTC and see if it fits my criteria.

I think this idea is pretty good. if coupling eth and bitcoin but need to underline this need to be reviewed whether this will have good effect on eth or bitcoin and I feel if combine these two will make the price become compete and less maximal just one day can happen something to eth and btc

eBTC is just a ERC20 token and I don't think it's special

I want to know what do you think about the idea to combine BTC and ETH. Thanks

I appreciate the new idea to create a new cryptocurrency. But I can not judge if it has not been realized

I will say Ethereum. the diversity of the coin is too wide. I can only foresee the price of Ethereum to sore in the future.

You want to plug in the smart contract feature of Eth technology in the bitcoin. I think that would be a good idea to implement . Maybe developers are working for that. But it may creates a new alt-coin which is completely different from Eth and Btc. Technically it might be better than btc , but in basis of popularity and price any coin have to do tremendously well to become comparable to btc.

The advertising and behaviour of eBTC looks like shitcoin. I don't think this is the next bitcoin killer)))

I think BTC and Ethereum are the best. It is not good at all. Many are interested in doing this. Because it is less likely to be drum. It became popular day by day.
