Title: Ideal settings for Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060?
Post by: pieterk on October 09, 2017, 07:51:00 AM
Hi,

I'm mining Ethereum with 6 Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 GPU's.
Current hashrate is about 138 MH/s.

Here are the settings I'm using with MSI Afterburner.

Power limit: 100%
Temp limit: 83
Core clock (mHz): 0
Memory clock (mHz): +400
Fan speed: 84

The higher memory clock gained me about +20 MH/s.
Temperature is now 75 c.

Anyone else have experience with overclocking Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060?

6 GTX 1060 6G OC

Power limit: 100%
Temp limit: 80
Core clock (mHz): -100
Memory clock (mHz): +500
Fan speed: 85

Total hashrate: 142-144 Mh/s

Also P106-100:

Power limit: 100%
Temp limit: 80
Core clock (mHz): -100
Memory clock (mHz): +650
Fan speed: 85

Total hashrate: 152-155 Mh/s

Go to GPU-Z and check for the memory manufacturer of your VRAM.

If Samsung:
TDP: 65% Temp Limit: 87 Core: -150 Mem: +800 Fan Speed: 75
Expected ETH Hashrate: 24-24.5 MH/s

If Micron:
TDP: 65% Temp Limit: 87 Core: -150 Mem: +550 Fan Speed: 75
Expected ETH Hashrate: 23.5-24.5 MH/s

If Hynix:
Try a different algo, they suck for ETH mining!

6 GTX 1060 6G OC

Power limit: 67%
Temp limit: 69
Core clock (mHz): -100
Memory clock (mHz): +520
Fan speed: 80

Hashrate: 22.7 Mh/s 23 Mh/s per GPU

It depends on VRAM manufacturer.
If it's samsung or micron, try +800 or +700 mem clock.

I'm digging zec . I wonder what is the most appropriate setting . 1060 6 Gb . electricity is expensive in Turkey .

Ideal settings for mining Ethereum with my Nvidias, 3 GB but they do 22.7-23 Mhash each

Power limit 70
Temperature limit 70
Core Clock +200
Memory Clock +750
Fan speed 80%

Temp stays near 69-70 degrees but it is doing 22.7 MHash sometimes going to 23 MHash and consuming only 85 watt of electricity

The hashrate stays the same as yours OP but the consumption is 35x6 equal to 210 watt/hour less so you earn a bit of money by paying less electricity with this setup.

My cards are 3GB but the 6GB can hold this setup too and my cards are Palit and Gainward.

Hey I am looking for the same to start mining and I already spoken with the one agent who is making mining rig set-up in my city. I would like to know the cost of the complete setup and all components need to set in the rig. I got a quotation for the same 6 gtx 1060 graphics cards. It will be helpful to understand me.

@Mister1K

I paid 3.000 dollars for this setup:

Processor: Intel Celeron G1840
Memory: 2x4GB Crucial
Motherboard: H81 Pro BTC R2.0**
Disk: Corair 60GB SSD
Power: 850W

6x NVIDIA GTX 1060 6GB modded

Parallel, 2x PS/2, Serieel (9-pins) - 2x USB 2.0, 2x USB 3.0 - 1x VGA, 1x HDMI - 1Gbps Ethernet

Hope this helps.

You can downclock you gpu and set 50-60% power limit. For ETH memory speed (and of course timing) matters mostly.

I'm sorry to write you a Google translation, but unfortunately I can not get a 6-card board in English and the problems are starting here.

ASUS ROG STRIX B250H GAMING Motherboard
1x PCIe 3.0 x 16 (support x16)
1x PCIe 3.0 x 16 (support x4)
4 x PCIe 3.0 x 1
RaidMax Cobra 1000W Gold +80 RX-1000AE-B Power Supply
Intel - Pentium Dual Core G4400
4gb ram
4db gtx 1060 3gb
2db gtx 1050 2gb. My problem with a Msi gtx 1050 was to install the win 10 64bits version. I installed a Riser card, which was plugged into 1x PCIe 3.0 x 16. It was also plugged in.Game shut off remaining 5 risers loaded with the remaining video cards .When starting up, it only looks for a 1060 that has been plugged into PCIe 3.0 x 1. The rest can not see all the video card fans rotate normally. DDU mounted, machine restarted with the latest driver mounted even if it only looks for a card. I dropped a base on the biosa of the motherboard. I did not find the switch that would allow the use of multiple cards. What else do I do change so only 1x PCIe 3.0 x 16 ( support x16) 2db gtx 1050 2gb.
1x PCIe 2db gtx 1060 3gb. (support x4) cards are seen in windows. After a half-day use, windows proci, fancards of video cards are spinning, but no picture or sound. rebooted dark screen after 3-4 minutes, windows comes in but switches off the monitor too. there is a newest bios on it.gen1, gen2, gen3, x2, x4, l1 can be set up which is better to wipe the driver again with ddu and rescan it or not the windows error he encountered the problem because he put up the latest win10. he put 2 numbers back and was good again. Would the riser be bad?
Thanks in advance
