now the price is $0.001020 (0.00000022 BTC) *9-oct-17*
with a market cap of $113,662,404

But that is not good news for doge, because the price will go down steadily

YAP, it can be concluded that dogecoin has now been abandoned by developers and creator.

then why the price will go down?

because over time dogecoin will be left by investors/whales who divert their money to coins that have better prospects
and the community will realize that dogecoin has no future,

Dogecoin it self is a fun coin it is created for only pump and dump coin. No feature no teknology improvement. And people having fun to pump and dump this coin. Developer also did not revise their roadmap or whatsoever. Any bag holder still believe in this coin ?

So what would you recommend guys? Is it time to dump my dogecoins for another altcoins or should i just hold on to it?

it has always been a joke coin that some people took too seriously. it is mostly a coin to play around with. i happen to know dogecoin as a tipping coin on reddit where you tip and tip back!

the huge supply and the latest big change they did to remove the cap and sustain the mining reward was the last blow in my opinion. a coin can not function like this.

and finally the Chinese exchanges closing and the huge dump that one of them did on poloniex and bittrex from their cold storage crashed the price.

Even if that is the case dogecoin will still have some of it's real world uses after all it is one of the most used crypto currency for gambling. It is one of the favorites of gamblers in crypto-games and other sites who accepts doge for gambling. It won't die so long as it can be used therefore even if it is low it will always retain a value. In the past it has been way below 11 satoshi but has still survived till now. Even if that is said, doge might not go to moon like what others expect.

Every one who knows albeit a bit on this all coins know that dogcoin is a joke and have no sens to invest in him.

Too bad what is happening to this coin. I use this always for faster transactions and lesser fees but the value really dipped. It hardly go over 22 sats per dogecoin now.

This alt world is great. I remember when doge was 19 sats i put a thread to sell it OTC for 22. Lots of people shouting that i was crazy. I closed the thread and sold it later at a much higher price:) so thanx BTCtalk trash-talkers for that. From that moment on i´ve been only using it for etra short term deals to increase my BTC a little.

He couldn't get the price up but he sure managed to push it down. Could have at least let the joke going instead of killing it dead.

I think Doge is to near-sat and sub-sat coins what Bitcoin is to the rest of the coins. The reserve currency of shitcoins.

One of the biggest and special aspects of Dogecoin is the very low cost for payments. That's why it's the most important reason to push people to use it. However, it does not have any technological development and it seems that this is not going to happen.

2.9m$ is not bad amount for them but It's so mysterious on why this coin didn't get any huge pump while as we see there are so many supporters and hodlers hold their coins for certain reasons and somewhat I can't call this coin dead but maybe we can call this one as sleeping coin but the bad thing is this coin still sleeping for such a long time and many people will be annoyed since this coin is unprofitable at all.

This is not something new in past also the creator has given us hints various times that he has no interest in the coin but if you see in terms of trading it is profitable you can get upto 20% return per week with the current price , it's not hard to understand the market movements also for example the price was 20 sat and it had become 22 on that the same day that sounds less but actually that is 10% profit. It is also listed on majority of the exchanges you can try it for short term it is way profitable and stable than other coins.

Still alive IMO. Prices spikes overtime, there are bad days when is reaches 15 sats per doge but there are days that it goes to 18-19 sats. It is a good coin if you are in a rush for transactions and good for tipping also. I'm holding on to mine for couple of months but only limited amount that I am willing to risk if it will really die, we'll see after the fork.

cryptocurrency with cheap price is good for short trade, because we can multiply our bitcoin just with a little change on the price

That is old news. Dogecoin was all a joke. Something to be fun. There biggest moment was when everybody give it for free or as a tip. But now that people want only make profit it is hard to go to anywhere.

I thought this coin was dead a long time ago?  Wasn't Dogecoin in the beginning was created as a joke coin?  Now it looks like the joke is on all the faithful investors.   Live and learn.  Get out what you can and try to recoup your losses on this disaster.  

the first thing I think is so many thread create to say bad thing about doge coin. So doge coin price will go to da moon.

indeed it was a true story,
if you're not here long enough you will not understand the fact behind it,
but even though the creator himself already abandoned this project,it's still exist due to lightning transaction.
plus a lot of people loving a dog.
nothing more than that,no development and take over so far.
go do some research if you do not believe me

Personally, I still got around 10K dogecoin sitting comfortably in my MultiDoge's wallet (yeah, I sold millions of them before)

As long as there are still people using Doge to trade it's alive. You know what else doesn't have active development? Gold.

Errrrrr... What did you guys expect? Like, really? That this coin would be important in the future? It is surprising that it has lasted so long.

People are always under the impression that OTC deals supposed to be cheaper than the deals found under the market, specially for big volume buyers.

Example:  Someone wants to buy 200,000,000 DOGECOINS and the price on the market was at 19 satoshis, they would recur to OTC deals to buy it from someone who no longer wants it, for presumably the same price, 19 satoshis, and the seller would get to dump all those 200 million DOGE's at exactly 19 satoshis for each one of them instead of dumping it on the open market where the starting price would be 19 satoshis, but as buy orders are fulfilled you end up selling at a much cheaper price, that's if you did a MARKET sell, you might end up selling at 1 satoshis for the last group of coins, or end up creating a large buy wall at 1 satoshis because you just ate all the BID orders.

Lets say you wanted to sell at the time 200 million DOGE's, the interested party here is you: you want to get rid of these DOGE's, you know you can't get rid of it on the open market for 19 satoshis all at once, you are impatient to let it wait on a LIMIT order at 19 satoshis or higher specially if you need the resultant BTC to invest into something else pronto (eg. an ICO, etc), so therefore you would have incur more interest from buyers by listing it at 19 satoshis matching the current market price of the time.  

Your price of 22 satoshis when the market price was 19 satoshis also could have its market, lets say someone wanted to buy 200 million DOGE's that person would know that doing it on the open market would not give him a good deal on the long run, so if someone wants to PANIC buy, then buying it from you at 22 satoshis would probably make more sense for the buyer instead of going to the open market and submitting a MARKET buy for 200 million DOGES that no doubt would have pumped the price to the detriment of the buyer.

Well, anyways if you did not tried to sell something large such as 200 million DOGE's by OTC and you wanted to sell something smaller, such as 100,000 DOGES, something that could easily be absorved by the open market on the same satoshi price value, then doing an OTC for the higher price was not going to yield you any results you wanted.

Well anyways with all said and done, at the end the price of DOGE ended up going naturally high and you were able to sell for a higher price than your original OTC plan.

If I were the developer of DOGECOIN, I would keep the coin alive.  I mean it has a good name and a good image for the coin, it can possibly attract the younger generation easily, the millenials.  Just think about it:  Dogecoin, a "cute" name, followed by a "cute" dog image, sure I could see millennials transacting with it, I would probably add new features to it (if its possible, because after all, its just a Scrypt LITECOIN fork, thats it), I would create a "dogecoin market place", a website where everything is sold, ala "walmart"/BJ's/Costco style and make DOGECOIN the only payment method there, and call if The Official Dogecoin website. 

See?  Lots of opportunity specially niche ones for use cases for dogecoins.  The dev killed it all by saying those works instead of being smart and coming up with something to make more money/revenue by innovating DOGECOIN.

So more like this coin is made for fun? sad dogecoin just an ordinary shitcoin with no future i fell pity on the coin
