Title: Mining for the first time
Post by: Ronicle on October 09, 2017, 02:06:29 PM
Hey community :-)

Im new to mining, until now i was only trading btc/altcoins. It worked out pretty well so far and no i would like to invest a bit of my profit for a passiv income.

What do you guys think is atm and maybe in the near future the most profitable and "safest" way to mine?
Im thankful for every tip i can get and source i should read. :^)

Greetings

I can not give any knowledge about mining,
but there is something I will convey with this,
at the beginning of the mine you should record correctly every expenditure you spend to finance the mining that you started,
because I often read from those who spend a lot of money for mining and not the profit they get but only the bloated electricity costs they pay

If you want to start mining you need to choose first the algorithm of mining. I mean Proof of Work or for instance Proof of Stake.

What coin would you tend to mind? Bitcoin or altcoin? but either of those things you should consider first on the electricity cost in your place so that once you start mining operations energy consumption or expenses wont really hurt you compared on having an expensive rate then mining is just a senseless thing to do. You can actually buy on Bitmain.com on asic miners needed and talking on altcoin gpu mining there would be plans on dedicated gpu solely for it.

I would suggest looking into cloud mining websites like Genensis mining or Hashflare. Alternately, BTG is coming up soon, you can mine that.

Much thanks so far guys, :)

But since Im from germany, i would consider cloud mining is the best option for me?
Im trying to decide which coin i should mine? Pure Bitcoin or are there some more profitable altcoins out there which you would recommend?

Buliding GPU miners is a great way to get some passive income. Great ROI imo
And for mining altcoins one needs to go to the Mining (Altcoins) area (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=160.0) as this one is for BTC only...
