Hi everyone, thanks for taking the time to read and hopefully reply. I’m by no means a computer expert and I did read through some of the sticky but still have many questions.

1) if accumulating btc is the end goal, does it matter which coin I mine since I will just sell anyways to buy more btc?
2) which coin is easiest to mine (roi I guess)
3) if I have a room that can be dedicated to mining, Can I just buy some fans to help keep it cool?
4) which setup is best for mining ethereum type coins and which setup for script based coins? I have about a $5000 budget (going slightly over is ok)
5) if I buy a nice rig/setup, how long until it’s obsolete? Or is it just a matter of replacing the cards if they burn out?

Yes of course. According to the hardware you get (type of gpus I assume) there's better coins to mine with each. For example if you get amd cards you mine ether. If nividia --> zcash.

Short answer yes. Long answer search the forum.

RX 580 cards.  Search for ethereum mining rig.

It's arguable but should be not less than 2 years for a card to die.

You will learn as you go...But I do think that it's worth getting atleast one S9 and putting it to work while you research and build your other GPU rigs. Thanks.

If the income does not fall to the level of electricity costs, then new gpu will be relevant 5+ years. Many gpu pioneers of mining are still working.

Coinwarz.com has answers to all your questions. You decide, if you wanna convert all your coins into BTC or you can mine individual coins and wait for them to increase in value :)
