guys...alts are bleeding ? great discounts going on, which are tempting ...but since btc gold on oct 25th and later nov first week btc hardfork coming...so ppl move their stash from alts to btc to get free money as result of fork.... so is it right time to jump in or wait few more weeks and buy right before fork? share your thoughts

Bargain alts are the better option. They will rise faster and in bigger numbers. It's a good time to get the altcoins you always wanted to get but missed out due to being late or lack of funds

i am lining up some btc in exhanges....but key is when to buy....will it fall further...each time it goes low...tempting to buy...next time i see its falling further...so when to buy...i think a week before hard fork would be boold bath for alts...i think that is right time to get in

Im thinking BTC will make a bull run towards $6000 after the fork. This will push alts lower as well.

Alts should bottom anyday from now until Oct 25 though those all are not going to bottom at the same

Too tempting not to buy alts now because the market is bleeding. However, the questions is what coins are best to get for a discounted price? You don't want to get trap once Oct 25 is completed and we don't know if alt traders will go back to the ecosystem. So I would rather wait until everything settles on the bitcoin market before I decide to go back to altcoin. Or I'll just wait until a couple of days and buy at the last minute to really get the floor price of my target altcoin.  ;D. Just maybe. ;D

This not the right time because there are some altcoin which got green candle, the right moment if the bitcoin gained the momentum to reach over $5000 as soon as possible and that means all of altcoin gain red.

Buy low. That is the foremost advice from the old-timers here. I am adopting it as much as I can. I also feel afraid and full of emotions at times but I am trying to be more rational when it comes to investment because a good deal of money is involved. I am fearful when a coin I trust is getting lower and lower in value. But buying it is the wisest decision.

I think right now is the best option for buying the altcoins because still, the prices are very low in the market. Once Bitcoin prices the values of other altcoins starts raising it's value.

Its still two whole weeks to fork. I dont believe bitcoin can stay high for so long. Idle coin makes no profit so the whales will do a sell all atleast once during that time. Today I stacked up on bitcoin and tether to prepary for the movements.

Bitcoin has aligned its self as the best performing cryptocurrency in the third quarter and being highly valued today it would be easy to buy more altcoins for a less amount of bitcoins...I guess its the best time to buy ourselves some alts and also invest in some ICO's.

I believe the lowest points for alts last BTC fork was about two weeks before...which is around this time for this fork.  It is hard to time the market and every fork is different so take it for what it is worth (which is nothing LOL) ;)

If I were you, I will wait till December period, I just have a feeling the Altcoin price will take more dip because of the coming festive period, most people will be talking profit. It has been an incredible year of the Crypto space

I think now is the right time to buy in altcoins if you want to have them at a dirty discount. It is not normal people are going to buy bitcoin to get this HF coin called Bitcoin Gold. What will be next, another stupid HF. I am sure none of those HF will find higher support than btc has, and therefor a waste of time. This pre mined junk should not even enter the shitcoin exchanges. I think so OP. I dont have much experience in the cryptoworld but from researching it seems like something big may be on the horizon. Now wether or not it comes after this bitcoin fork is the billion dollar question and to you it might be a hundred thousand or million dollar question. Just depends on  various things. You have certain coins that have dispersed in the tens of billions range like ripple , espers, stellar lumens, etc..... Even if those go to ten cents a coin if you own a a few million of these coins you will make more in a month than a vast majority of people make in a year.

Bitcoin value was rapidly increasing, so I think it's enough reason to buy and invest to other alternative coins. Because when bitcoin price in the market is continuously raising up, we all know that it's better to invest on altcoins, due to lower prices of them. Moreover investing on higher value of coins are not wise decision.

Not soon but already done in this time caused by there is a little impact caused by the bitcoin hardfork. I may think the price will be increasing again. The crypto trend will increase on its interest and that makes the more people are falling in love with crypto.

Your assumption may be correct as whales will want to still do some little bit of manipulation on the market. The pump has been pretty huge lately and the altcoin crashing really bad though some are still trying to pick up a little bit with some support.

At this stage though, there may still be some altcoins in mind to make some run for as I feel they are just at the stage of pretty good buy and will yield some profit as well even after the fork.

I don't see any problem in investing in altcoin, even though it is now bleeding in the market. Sometimes I think maybe it is the right time to buy Altcoin and hold it until it gain his price. But if you are goingbto buy altcoin you should need to be wise in choosing.

Altcoins bleeding is a sign of a good season to buy. Do not mind other factors if you have been waiting for your chosen altcoins to go down in value. Hit your target if it is the right time. But if you are targeting some free Bitcoin Gold then forget the alts for now and shift to Bitcoin. But I think only a handful of exchanges are committing to give away free bitcoin gold.

If you buy the bleedign altcoins you might regret it later on since for me altcoin's price movemnt is not correlated with bitcoin whether bitcoin's price is rising or dropping. Yes it is better to buy alts now because they are cheap. Only buy those that has viable project and real value because there is a possibility that those sh*tcoins may not go back to their price before because they are just for pump and dump so their value is just nothing so whatever support they have for now may be their new support so after it will be pump in the future if ever then it would go back to the price they have now. Those coins that has usage will be more valuable in the future so its better to buy more of them like Neo, OMG, Qtum, Adex etc.

Whether it's the best time or not. I have already saying this every time, try to read the whole updates of those coins before invest your money to there. You don't want to waste your money, right?. Read and analyze are the only way to determine is it the best time or not.

If you have some BTC to spend, I'll suggest you to invest them to DASH or ETH. Their price are still cheap, its around 0.06 btc for both of them while the average high value was 0.08. It is good to invest bitcoin to other alt coin while the bitcoin price was in a peak price. So you could increase the amount of your bitcoin by doing that way. Its just a common strategy for increasing the amount of your bitcoin. Sell on peak, buy in the dip,or buy alt coin when it touch ATH.

be careful when you bought altcoin and hold because you need to analyze the market before you buy. beside that, this time altcoin is down too deep because btc is increase high and if we want to buy altcoin, make sure that we buy at the bottom price by doing analyze. the other things that we should analyze is how deep the price will down so we can place the order to buy. but i think for this condition, we can just hold btc if we want to sell at high price because this time before the fork, i think the price will increase a little. but i think if we want to buy altcoin it is a good choice too.

Keep as much BTC as you can for the next couple of weeks. Some ALTs are still having big up signals but probably just P&D activity.

ALT coin trading is a waiting game, be patient and never sell for a loss unless it's for a recognised stop-loss as part of your overall strategy.

this is a tricky question, it really depends on what you're in for.  are you a trader, or investor?  what you're looking for would impact how you react.  if you want to invest long term, then i'd wait to the next dip (whole market).  if you're just trading though.  now is as good as any, find the right wave and ride it.

You invest altcoin at any time as well. In this hardfork if you decide exactly the potential of the coin, you will earn much money more. Success or failure depends on you.

Bitcoin is enjoying this great cash flow and after November the fund are going to flow back to altcoins market. I have followed the August first event and this is exactly what happened as after the hard fork fund from back to altcoins market and history is going to repeat again. As we are looking at altcoins prices, I can say it is the right time to buy altcoins because they are cheaper and then hold until altcoins recover their values or gets a higher value but buying altcoins is risky because some might not recover and you will not earn profit. Try to analyze first the altcoins and then try to buy some.

So good to buy now especially at those reliable altcoins because i really believe that the market will start to recover this month. Cryptocoins now are slowly rising and i think this will be the good start of recovering and im hoping that most of us will hold longer so that we can achieve the full potential of our coins. This post was from 2017 and we're already on 2019 which is going to be a nearly 2 year gap for the posts. Reversing the situation from that year and today's situation, it's the right time to buy alts. Alts are cheaper now compare to 2017 and so bitcoin does.

You can buy altcoins with small amounts even though you are worried about the market situation, at least with a small amount if traded many times you will get a decent profit.

I may say its still a good time to buy alts and join good ICOs since btc and ethereum is still cheap. I'm expecting the cryptomarket will recover in the months to follow. I don't think btc value will keep on dropping forever, the time of waiting is tiring but once btc pumps up again.. It will be worth it.
