Sorry  guys, If I  buy  bitcoin  now, will  happen the same thing as bitcoin cash?

After  the  fork  will  I have both  Bitcoin gold and  bitcoin?

Example:  I want to  buy  300$   of bitcoin now.   After the  fork will  I have the some  ammount  of  bitcoins +  bitcoin gold (a new currency)?

So  double money?

No you are not gonna double your money. Go buy altcoins now and your money will double after the fork

General consensus is that Bitcoin gold will be about 1/10th of the value, therefore with your $300 of bitcoin you will get $30 of Bitcoin Gold. My personal opinion is, that it'll be more like 7-8% total value. There is also a chance that Bitcoin Gold will be worthless.

As previously mentioned, go find a altcoin that has dropped 20+% and buy that instead and you should see far better gains.

Ah ok... so not  the same as Bitcoin cash  here.  Are  you sure  of this?  Maybe  Btc gold  300$  as Bitcoin cash?

If you buy 1 bitcoin, you will have 1 bitcoin gold after the fork (25th October), but it won't cost as much as bitcoin. More like bitcoin cash, so you will have around 300$. But I suggest you buy some altcoins, they are very cheap now and after the fork, people will move from bitcoin to alts once again and all alts will moon.

If you buy right now you could received a bitcoin gold and I think the distribution of that is 1:1 but don't expect that the price of bitcoin gold will be the same with the bitcoin's itself and the bitcoin cash since I think the bitcoin gold will get a lesser price since it is another chain of the bitcoins and might the other first comer will affect the price of it.

Yeah, it works the same as BCC where you hold BTC and you will get BTG

No, there's is 100% that you won't double your money, because BTG =/ BTC, both have different algo consensus, different development team, different level of recognizance.

It is up to you if you prefer to buy bitcoin now. But I think it is good to hold BTC because in holding BTC you can have BTG as aw reward I guess.  ;D ;D

Yes, users with bitcoin balances at the time of the fork will have access to bitcoin on both blockchains. same as BCC except it'll be easier this time since most exchanges have already been through it in the past.

I don't think that's a wise decision especially now that Bitcoin is pumping, although yes you will receive a free coin but it does not necessarily mean your money will double because you are not sure yet if the value of the altcoin from the split would be the same price with Bitcoin but mostly it would be very much lesser than Bitcoins price for sure.

Yeah it can. If you buy bitcoin now then you can have the equivalent of it in bitcoin gold. Bitcoin gold is another airdrop again when the hard fork happens. But as of now we can't tell what will be the value of bitcoin gold, but I think it's not the issue as bitcoin gold will be a free coin for all of us.

if you buy bitcoin now and if there are any fork is happen, then you might be get another coins for example you have 0.1 btc, after the fork you can get 0.1 btg for free (i think like this based on bcc). and yes i think if you sell your btg, you are make double money but its depend on how much the price of btg. if its equal like bcc, then you can make profit from free coins.

this is only work if you don't spend your btc in the exchanges or in other wallet because when bcc come out, whoever which have btc is also getting bcc with the same amount of the btc we have.

for some time it may be true you will get double gain in different forks.
but for long term BTG still has a low value, maybe you should as soon as possible sell BTG after you receive it before the price continues to decline and you only receive a small profit.

I predict BitcoinGold will be worth fuck all, It's so shady the way it's all be handled and done. So suprised people are selling alts to try and get some, especially considering the rumours the snapshot occurred a week and a bit ago and since then the devs are premining themselves 16000 blocks. Very shady stuff

I have no idea about double after fork but i something heard by many peoples. Surely i don't know how true this news. BTC is big pumping so i think you can wait for dump than you buy BTC it's better for you.

don't confuse "double coin" with "double money". you are doing the first not the second.

for example if you buy $1000 worth of bitcoin, after any fork you will have:
- $1000 worth of bitcoin (which will most probably be worth more, $1100 for example).
- and $50 worth of the forked altcoin.

(note that above numbers are based on the recent fork of bitcoin called bitcoin cash and its price)

I heard yes. You would have 1 BTCG for 1 BTC you hold until Oct 25. Your money won't be doubled so easy once you bought bitcoin and hold it. BTCG will be never can reach bitcoin price, so you will only get double amount, not double money.

also, there are plenty of other threads on here that discuss this topic in quite some details. My personal take-away from the last fork is that the BTC price was very volatile before the ICO, which made "normal" trading quite unpredicatble...

I would suggest you do not be interesting bitcoin.

Better way will be buy some altcoin on good position in rank, e.g. waves.

But it's not like it's going to be worth nothing, even with the 1:1 ratio for btc, with the price of 50-100$ it can still bring in some money for the nice ICO or some alt-coin investment. It's not just to be completely ignored.

If you buy bitcoin now, then you are investing for your future. With hard work and effort, you can definitely succeed in the bitcoin industry. So, it's better to invest early than late.

Bitcoin gold will not have price like BCH, so I decided to choose another altcoin to invest. After Oct 25, maybe i will x2 my balance. xD

No you wont when it comes to value. You might get the 1:1 ratio on the coins but they differ on value just like what we saw on Bitcoin Cash and also talking about double money and double coin is lot different thats is why it is somehow confusing for other to use such word but for now the best thing to do is accumulate more bitcoin as much as we can until the fork.

Make sure you hold your bitcoin in your wallet (not in exchange sites) which you can control your wallet private key.
