As i seen there is lots of altcoin being dumped for low value because of bitcoin fork happening on oct 25 (still not confirmed) so everyone selling altcoins and converting to bitcoin and keeping it in private key holding wallet hope of getting Bitcoingold (Not confirmed by any source ) . So people may be fooled in the name of bitcoingold free coin so proper strtegist right time to buy some good altcoins.

Yes you could do that, because at least the most reliable altcoins, like ethereum, dash, zcash, maybe neo, will probably rise again after the fork I guess people will just sell their bgold, and then invest on those alts again because they are at a low price. I think it's probably to soon to do it now though, because we are still a couple of weeks away from the first fork, so the alts will probably drop even further, so maybe there is not point in buying them now. You should be careful in buyin ethereum though, because bgold is actually trying to compete with them I guess, although I don't think they will  be able to do it.

I wouldn't buy altcoins right now, because I want to gain the new "Bitcoins" on hardfork in October and November. But if you don't care, it would be the right time to buy alts. They will for sure go up, after the Bitcoin "show".

That Bitcoin Gold thing is a scam. They are premined, and you wont get the benefit like from Bitcoin Cash. People invest now in BTC, price goes up like crazy (until today), but volume is completely missing. Given a planned sell off, the Gold coins do not provide any replay protection, so you can sell them and risk all your BTC, or hold them and see the price go to hell.

For me, I put 1/3 of my portfolio into IOTA, OmiseGo and LTC. Stay away from BTC for the time being.

bitcoin gold fork is on October 25 which is about 14-15 days from now. the dumps started 2-3 days ago and they have been going on for at least 2 weeks before that too but at smaller amounts.

if people wanted to get their BTG airdrops they would have sold at least on 20th not from now!

this is only because bitcoin price is rising and whenever that happens traders leave altcoin market and go back to bitcoin.

i think,, now time to buy altcoin.. its seems the low price. but you to analyze the first we will determine whether trading for the long term or short term, from there we can see the trend of direction, so that we can determine the risks and reward, and no less important we must preparing psycologis/mentally to respond the market.

I just feel like most investors who are currently dumping their altcoins will regret at a later stage. Some investors are even selling for a loss so that they can be able to claim free bitcoin gold after the fork, which is not worth it. I actually consider this moment as the best time to buy as many altcoins as you can so that you can make more profit once the market recovers.

I think so ,buy the rumor sell the news is great fundamental strategy. But choose some altcoin that has big volume and marketcap and also from good team. In my opinion to buy ETH, DASH and WAVES is good decision because will be lesk risk than others coin.

I'm not buying into the recent bitcoin surge and altcoin bloodbath explanation of "everyone is trying to get into btc to get btc gold" argument, as it just doesn't make sense for several reasons. The speculative price of btc gold is much lower than bcc was and I just don't see many people wanting to by BTG, meaning the price will plummet. The gains that could be had from alt coins is much more significant. Additionally, this is much earlier than the "buy the rumor" timeline in the crypto space. Saying that, I think this is the perfect time to pick up your favorite alts at a low price. Some have already started rebounding today.

I think any quality project (we all have our opinions on what that is) should be looked at when you get a dip across all alts. I always look to purchase the classics that will likely have a 10-25% bounce in the following weeks.

Its not actually fooled because its peoples decision to sell off their stashes to buy or store up more bitcoin but yet indeed the best time to buy bargain prices of altcoins.People would definitely do such thing.Who do people wont really love free coins?If we do try to see on what happened on BCH it becomes valuable and then its a good amount of free money.Decisions would really vary depending on traders knowledge because some people for sure are just going along with the flow only not knowing on the possible opportunities on buying cheaper coins.

You don't have to buy alternate coins using bitcoin directly. Use your fiat savings and convert them to alt coins. Hold them for a while and wait for the price to recover. Once it goes up sell them and enjoy your profit.

I think we are in a good stage right now to grab some cheap altcoins.. We had a lot of blood in the last time and a lot of altcoins dipped hard :)

i think the same. we live a moment that is good to buy a lot of altcoins that are very promissing and undervalue.

Its always good to buy altcoin when bitcoin is pumping like right now, just keep buying more alts to increase your total bitcoin holding. What you will make by selling alts which you will buy right now might be way bigger than what you will get after selling bitcoin gold or whatever you will get after hardfork by simply holding bitcoin.

I'm not convinced of bitcoin gold and when there's the possibility to buy altcoins with some kind of "discount" then I'm happy of happing this good chance to get them for good prices. I definitely go for OMG, Dash and Litecoin because i think ther's pretty good potential for them to rise

The right time to buy altcoin is when the price is high. You have to wait for the time when the price rised up. You have also have to choose the altcoin that has the higher exchange rate. My answer is just my opinion, it is up to you if you want to do it also.

Whenever there is a price dip, the investors that purchase at that area are more prone to make money through that trade because they have the advantage against most users.

It is not easy to guess what will be the next best project and I am not good at making educated guesses, especially when it comes to altcoins where the options are unlimited ones.
The right time to buy altcoin or any other asset is when it has already a huge demand but there is a downfall in the price. Dips are the opportunity to get hands on more coins.

Perhaps it is the right time to buy altcoins, but 2 advices :
 - make a serious selection in all the altcoin : select only these where the project is really "talkind" to you, not only the hype about the coin,
 - make a limited investment.

If you have some bitcoin to spent for altcoin, yes, It is a right time to do. Because when the bitcoin was in a peak price, it means the alt coin was diving. As you can see, ethereum is around 0.05, Dash around 0.048. the only one altcoin that rise a bit is a bch. But I don't suggest you to invest there. Some people are always do otherwise. They sell altcoin, when bitcoin seems begin to rise. Like you just say, most of them sell their alt, to get bitcoin gold. I hope they won't regret it.

Believing that there will be an extreme changes in crypto world after hardfork within this month. As we notice that all altcoins are falling, due to of continuous increase of btc. Since it's price are down, it could be a big chances to buy potentially altcoins because it pretty sure that they rise after hardfork.
