Post by: BTCMILLIONAIRE on October 11, 2017, 12:15:54 PM If any Bitcoin address is directly associated with your friends Bitcoin account and he still has access to the private keys, he can sign a message and send it in a PM to one of the admins. They will then eventually restore it if your friend can prove ownership of the account.

Just have a question, this is quote from the link: -----BEGIN BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE----- My account <account> has been hacked/lost. Please reset the email to <email>. The current date is <date>. -----BEGIN SIGNATURE----- <insert address here> <insert signature here> -----END BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE----- Here is the unedited post where I posted that address: ... OR I sent that address to someone in a PM with PM ID#... My friend did send PM including his bitcoin address, but since he can't access his account now, how can he find the PM ID#? He should also take some time to carefully think of all the information he could possibly provide, because the admins seem to get flooded with requests, so he will want to make sure that his one shot counts. Don't send a ton of PMs, it will probably work against him. Title: Re: How to get stolen bitcointalk account back? The best way is to get your friends account, which is connected to yours, and write message to give account back to you. Is there any way he can get it back? ??? Post by: nxtonly on October 11, 2017, 03:16:27 PM Thanks for all your help. The problem is: My friend can't get PM ID# which include his bitcoin address.
My friend did send PMs including his bitcoin address, but it happened three years ago. Since he can't access his account now, how can he find the PM ID#? He checked his related email box, but can't find any (maybe deleted) All he can remember is during which month he sent these PMs. Is that kinda of proof? The problem is: My friend can't get PM ID# which include his bitcoin address. If he knows which month that should be ok. Paired with the account name and the Bitcoin address it shouldn't be too difficult to track the PM down for an admin. If that's all he has he should go with that. It should be fine, but he might have to wait a while before he gets a response. My friend did send PMs including his bitcoin address, but it happened three years ago.
