Title: Definitions on protocol-tokens and app-coins
Post by: highperspective on October 11, 2017, 04:17:22 PM
What are the definitions on protocol-tokens and app-coins.
I have read different definitions, one saying they were the same, and one then saying that app-coins was a service access token (not a cryptocurrency) and a protocol-tokens was the actual currency.
Other definitions say that they are the same.

Hey,

That's a good question. I defined tokens and coins differently in my crypto and blockchain dictionary. Check them out here:
  • https://decryptionary.com/dictionary/coin/ (https://decryptionary.com/dictionary/coin/)
  • https://decryptionary.com/dictionary/token/ (https://decryptionary.com/dictionary/token/)

Would love your feedback on those definitions and if that sorts it out for you.
