My list in terms of what to be consider in buying or investing in such coin
1. It must be on the top 30 in the market capitalization list, it is obvious that this top 30 has a strong foundation in the digital currency not all of the but most of them have a great potential.
2. the integrity and credibility of the people who behind it, because most of them have the purpose to scam people so we need a credible people behind it.
3. The market cost of the coins, you have to be smart on this as some coins will promote a promising price. A extensive research must be done before investing or buying some coins because the main point of the digital currency is being decentralized.

I'd say Team, Product, and Community behind the coin.

1. Tech
2. Team
3. Community

Nothing else matter.

I choose the alternative coins to be traded because the factors fundamental of alternative coins
1. Many people have invested in the alternative coins be signed by the capitalization of market can be checked on here https://coinmarketcap.com/ so even the price of coins went down, if it has large of money I don't fear to hold for long term investment.
2. The innovation of developers team and the community of alternative coins, it is important for me especially to invest in the alternative coins for long term, as long as the developers and community are active to build the coins it is good coins.
3. Due diligence, I always used results of my analysis of the coins before practice on the alternative coins ( usually invested in the ICOs projects).

Yea i would pretty much agree with that.

I think the development team have to be dedicated and be prepared for the long haul,
This also means dedicated to a realistic road map set out from the start rather than an
after thought.

The product of the ico has to be viable although i suppose anything is possible and viable.

Which is where the community plays its role!

Another  major  factor is  market  cap of the crytocurrency during it ICO and also the country where the project was initiated and executed motivate me to buy the  cryptocurrency,all thou the country is a minor factor.

Trying to create another Bitcoin is an old idea.

Trying to create another ETH type coin is also an old idea.

The block-chain has thousands of uses. Its the IDEA that is the most important thing in my opinion.

If the IDEA is smart and awesome - the dev team, the crowdfunding will all come into place on its own.

Current market cap.
Current working software/technology/etc.
Solid roadmap with future plans.

I do not look for crytocurrencies to use, but to invest, so i am a little different.

The main factor is project and i consider following aspects of a project , is the project innovative ? Segment of the market they are targeting, and market cap of that ICO.
After that I look at the team, and if the team is competitive and expert then i buy that currency.

For me, I firstly look at the project parteners, when you see a project backed by big companies, it supposed to be promising, then I look at the team past experience, and finally I look at the community and how many people are interested in this project.

Team is important, but releases is much more effects on the price. So first of all the schedule and releases. The second one is concept or product. The third one is community.

It depends what you want to do ?
Are you here 100% for the money ? Then, in that case, you don't care of the project, you just look the good parameters, to check the potential of a coin (volume, marketcap, roadmap, mathematical trend... etc)
If you are a bit interested in the project of a coin, and in long term investment, you should check the social network of the project, to see if they are active, then, their website. Then you'll have to read their whitepaper to check the strenght of it, and then, go with your heart.

As I am looking for technological sound coins and don't want to just trade for profit:

- Technological soundness/viability =  is it something that is really needed in this world or just fancy gimmicky without proper real world use
- Ideological and not profit/greed driven developers that have a pragmatic approach, so no premine/instamine, no ICO, no hype
- Open source/Community driven

Sadly, only few coins get a pass after considering these 3 factors

I don't care if a lot of people talk about a certain currency but i do defintely care about the product. For example: OmiseGo has a pretty good product in my opinion. Second point is the marketcap. If a coin is not at least within the top 20 at conmarketcamp then i'm sceptical about it. then i want to see a good team standing behind the product. And last but not least i'm interested in the chart. I use RSA and Stochaistics to decide whether a coin is overbought or not. If not then i go for it.

Here's my factor need to be considered before try to invest in the ico or try to buy at the pre sale of the project itself.

The best project is not just only try to improve the existing code or platform but just try to find the new solution.

My 3 lists that I take care;

• 1. Team. Their individual history, projects they acvieved. Last status of those projects.
• 2. Investors. Who are the backers of those project. Which other projects those investors backed before.
• 3. Marketing Strategy. How the team plan to reach investors to attract funding.

For me it's:
- Idea
- Team
- Ability to generate revenue

The last one is important because the ICO money will not last forever so they need to be able to generate revenue at least in the medium term.  People often seem to overlook this but your token will be worthless if the company behind it runs out of money.

The best project is not just trying to fix the existing code or platform but try to find a new solution.

When going to buy the tokens for any upcoming ICO means will go for checking the white paper release about it. If choose too alts I will check the marketplace supply, value, growth with the price dashboard before I go for investing towards it.
Price can be reason to buy it but if you for the cheap coins with the high potential in future you make profit.

the team, the market cap and the concept are the most important factors, in fact, there are many platforms which evaluate the ico, this is a main way to know ico for me

project whitepaper, roadmap, ERC20 token approval

three most important factors are
IDEA / CONCEPT : the concept in which the crypto is based upon is the most important factor as projects with unique and innovative ideas tend to grow more quickly.
POPULARITY : the popularity of the coin is what will decide its stability. More popular coins have high acceptance and are very safe to invest in.
TEAM : a strong and experienced developement team aids the growth of the project and ensures that the investors get high returns on their investment.

1.  Likelihood of continued development (I.e roadmap, white papers, dev. Updates)
2.  Distribution Model (I.e widely spread ownership)
3.  Added value (I.e. Focused on something innovative and new, like a method of privacy, or new tech features).

Actually the 3 most important factors I look for in a cryptocurrency before buying it are first would be the team itself, I'm fond of searching for the group of team and developers and check if they are legit. Next would be the roadmap an the development of the project and that includes the updates from time to time and lastly would be strategy to make the project work.

To me it's the coin value, its money-generating potential, solid technical background behind it and the extended community to popularize it.

Dev team, product (at least MVP) and their willingness of sharing information

The uniqueness, team, fairness in the distribution, transparency and hype. All this stuff must be analyzed.

The team, features and feasibility of the project.
Don't go for projects with tons of newbie accounts in the thread, or where devs clearly promising some things that are too good to be true.

For me the most three important factors when deciding what cryptocurrency to buy is how great is the project and next is, if its a trusted coin and the last one is the community.

Here are the 3 factors for me

1. Team- how solid the background behind the project. How dedicated and serious they are on the project.

2. After sale - This is also something that is important to me that very few acknowledge it. I am looking at the project where huge people or community will benefit on it.

3. Technology - this is the least for me but I consider this a very important matter. I need to be honest that I am not crypto geek who have a deep knowledge about blockchain, crypto etc. That's why I also check feedback from others about this aspect

when i wants to trade by digital currency,  make 3 Reason.
1. I saw itsAnnouncement thread, 
For being sure,  is it fake or real currency? is it live now?
Is it promising project or not?
2. its coin supply.
3. its volatility.

3 things that make me invest in the cryptocurrency ;

1. the experience of people working to improve the project
2. the goal of the project
3. people who invest

I always go with market analysis by price history and team original purpose of coin and growth in next few years if now I am not doing short term trading which almost like buying lottery.

Team and community and after learning

These 3 points are very important before going to invest our money we have to look at these points. if i don't have time to see full projects details i just check the coin history how it is growing based on that, i will invest. And depends on some experts suggestions also i will buy coins. More importantly, i will check Technology.

According to me, the first and foremost important factor that I take in notice is the future of the cryptocurrency. I mean, if it has no future, then investing in it will be useless as BCH is not a good choice now. Then I consider the profits that an be given and most of all the support rather the acceptance of any coin so that I can make a use of it in daily needs. Though it is not a good idea but IMO we should make cryptocurrency mainstream.

To be honest when investing in an ICO my evaluations are pretty similar to yours although, saying that, I have only invested in three ICOs to date.

Another consideration of mine when I am looking at investments is the publicity the project has received. If it has got the backing of some reputable people who know what they're on about I'd be a lot more likely to invest!

I usually check if the cryptocurrency has active developers, strong support from its community and if their projects are viable and innovative. Usually there are projects that are viable but then it is just a copycat of another that is already successful so more often, it will just enter the scene and then the people would choose whichever between those cryptocurrencies has more support and would base then on its coinmarketcap.

Features - what does this crypto offer, what problems does it solve, why does it have value?
Team - do they have a competent team, do they have experience, do they have a strategy?
Price - has it pumped already, what is it's % of total crypto market cap, are their competitors?

That's pretty much how I look into each new coin I discover, and even old ones I come back to.

Here are the factors that i always look out everytime i buy an altcoin:
1. I always make my research about the credibility of the team. An active developers is a must!
2. The impact of the project to the people. If it is a "talk of  the town" then it's a very good project coz people won't waste their time if they don't see a big potential on the coin.
3. Lastly will be the coin supply.

We can sort this way, it can occur in a variety of situations

For me, I'd say: Team and advisers, product and token utility, and use of the technology...

If it's an ICO I focus on MVPs or alpha, at least to see that the team made an effort compare to whitepaper projects  ::)

Before buying I consider the  idea of the project on the website and on whitepaper, the dev team that works on it for its popularity, and the other one is the volume of the market to know it such coin has an active market.

2. Total supply
3. The team behind it.

I prefer an active team / developer, because then I can feel more comfortable / safe while putting my money in the coin.  Oh, and products matters too!

For me most important is:

1. Popularity.
2. Total supply
3. The main idea/ the goal of the project
4. The team behind it
5. The price
6. Community

you need to follow the project. for the team, who they are. where they come from, what they have already done. Typically, this information is not a secret. But this does not mean that newcomers do not have a chance. It happens that young projects with young developers do just miracles! Therefore, in addition to collecting analytical information, I would still trust my intuition.

before investing, i am looking to:

1) the project idea and how many competition in this fiel of activity.

2) the token utility

3) the team and how they answer to technical questions and critics.

4) roadmap

I think before investment you must have these most important factors that helps you to buy bitcoin,
Fully amount invest in one time or make some other plans to invest for example I think like me invest in 2 position to makes the market investment one is in low position and the second is the most low position that is the dark low position,

as trader manages with the good backup on resource,
the decision might have with stronger on precision as might to put with the request as delivering amounts of returns with the plan..

The first one is the potential, I will try to read the whitepaper and the site the goal of the coin, what will be the vision of the coin, the second one the team, the strong team is very important, new coin need a good team to attract investors and handling problem, and the third one is how they commit to their goal, usually they got roadmap to show us the progress, a good project need to be punctual to the roadmap

I decided to buy krypto currency because: 1. Strong team and team credibility 2. sustainable project 3. listed in 100 coin market cap

Here is what i personally follow to know if an altcoin is a good investment:

1. Know your coin - When you find an altcoin that interests you, go deep. Study how it’s being used. Talk to people who use it. Talk with the development team. Look at its adoption rate, its potential market size, its price history. These things will give you confidence in your winners and losers — and confidence, as we’ve seen, drives price. A basic rule of thumb is don’t invest in what you can’t explain.

2. Believe in your abilities and judgment -Without belief in yourself, you will be subject to the whims of crypto whales. You’ll start to believe predictions of unlimited sunshine, or fears of permanent gloom. This makes long-term investing an internal game as much as an external one. You have to master your own emotions, being careful about speculation, FOMO, and FUD.

3. Understand the market is never predictable - You cannot predict how the market will behave. If this is true for the traditional stock market, this is many times more true for the altcoin market. It’s like strapping a rocket on a roller coaster.

2. Is there an actual use case for the coin/token that will drive demand?
3. Active outreach from devs, where they keep the community updated on progress.

The first thing I look at is the age of the crypto currency and the activity of developers, the second is chart. For investments, I choose crypto currencies created for people

For me, these are the three most important factors:

1. How advanced is the technology behind that particular altcoin
2. The rate of increase in user-base for the last 2-3 months
3. Number of major exchanges in which it is traded

If you are talking about the new coin the first thing I do is always read the Whitepaper, 2nd is checking the team of that coins if the team members are well educated and wall reputed because a Good team can manage good coins. 3rd and final think I used to check is the concept of that coin and technology behind that coin because solid concept and technology are must for a coin to become successful.
