Post by: onyebuchi81 on October 12, 2017, 09:18:20 AM

Yes as I know there are other coins that you don't need to stay online.
For example Waves wallet has leasing option, you start leasing and it does itself even if you close extension.

You can put your NEO in NEON Wallet and claim GAS.
Decred has a decentralized voting process, where you can buy a ticket and dont have to stay online

Postoken gives 100% for the first year now. You can buy it from etherdelta. There might also be third airdrop for it. To mine all you need to do is execute the mint() contract in myetherwallet.

If there's a second maybe there's a third and POS token growth doesn't stop for now and maybe I would wait for the 3rd if there is since I miss both 1 and the second airdrop of them. And the price of it right now is bit Expensive and feel lucky for the people who received some tokens for early rounds from them.

You mean you invested in PoS coins, right? By default, PoS standard coins need you to leave your wallet open (and unlocked, as in password entered) to stake. Basically you're putting your matured coins out there to help secure the network and confirm transactions. There's no other real way of staking offline, but as others mention you can lease Waves for small returns, NEO for gas.

Or poswallet. Open an account there, let them stake for you.

But the best POS coin is only the neo token becuase that was so easy to staking your neo token to reach the emission and another interesting thing about the gas emission that generated by the staking your neo already listed on a lot of the major platform.

check EmberCoin (EMB) its currently staking huge 7200% but on 1.nov i think they will start with masternodes the return will be 720% per annum.
your wallet must be online to stake, the best is if its on 24h/day
The price is currently 1-2sats so i guess it cant go much lower :)
If u need any help or have any questions, there is discord link on the official site.

I hold some DeepOnion and it stakes only when the wallet is open. Its not much but it is free onions once every few days. I only open the wallet when my computer is already open for other purposes.

PoSToken is a really nice PoS coin, that is in an early stage right now. They are going to release a wallet in the next couple of month, to make the staking easier. Now you can only mine with you Etherwallet!

As far as I know most need the wallet running. One of my coins I set up a masternode on an external amazon server that runs the wallet all the time. It is free for a year and that way just keeps generating coins for me. Thats how I would do it and something to look into.

I like POS coins as they are bringing some passive income.
But the POS rates need to be reasonable, like 5%-25% and not 100%+ because this is killing the coin in long periods.

Delegated Proof of Stake - good if you're a whale with lots of that type of coin.  For normal people tho, masternodes are cool, have a google and also check out CRAVE, one of the highest returning and also currently cheap coins out there.

Yes, you can stake Ark offline. Buy Ark then vote for someone in the top 51 delegate spots and you can close your wallet forever. The public pool delegate you voted for will paying you as long it stay within the top 51 spot.
