Not saying you're wrong that we will most likely see a crash before the fork, but I think you're over estimating the fact that this rise is due to Bitcoin Gold.  Most of this new money coming in doesn't even know about this fork. It's going to tumble because we are moving straight up, and whatever shoots up will eventually correct.

Temporarily, perhaps, but long term I think it can only keep going up.

Bitcoin Gold's fork is pushing up the price but in the last months a lot of people discovered Bitcoin and are now investing in it, price will inevitabely crash by November. But I think it will reach all-time records by the end of December!

Personally i think,institution are using btc like a hedge to dollar and that high price is reflection of hidden inflation,Exept pump and dump btc price will rise if greedy devs will not cause to much trouble

This is not linked to the bitcoin gold hard fork, but the perception of the investors are getting more positive. They got rid of the market crash perception and another correction won't happen soon.

Well all of us have no choice so we have to keep riding this trend, unless if you are one of the largest bitcoin investor who holds bunch of coins coz they are one of the reasons of manipulating bitcoin price lol

We have many speculation of the price and we have to do is to take a risks on bitcoin. Yes lets ride with the train and lets embrace the movement of bitcoin price.

thats true bitcoin keep increasing the price value i heard in the new 5220usd hit bitcoin in stort term it normal to people holding the bitcoin not all people straight holding the bitcoin need them to spend bitcoin to used for the daily expenses that my opinion and for me holding of bitcoin are the reason bitcoin keep increasing.

I hold a lot of eth sadly eth can cath the bitcoin price. Hope when bitcoin is in stable position eth will follow, the price of almost altcoin can't follow the bitcoin price. It is too fast. yesterday is still 4700 today is about 5100-5300. How about tomorrow or near the hardfork?

Yes this is a disaster for altcoin traders, the harder it is to expect altcoin to rise up soon. The cause may be the upcoming hardfork so the demand for Bitcoin is enormous.

It is because investors of altcoins and the money invested from altcoins are now flowing to bitcoin because of the upcoming fork.
I think i should cash out my bitcoin now.

the price will stay up until the hardfork happens so we'll see how much the bitcoin price after hardfork but possibly in the beginning of november another coin that will rise

Did anyone else switch to ETH right before this happened?...I'm concerned it wont dip before the fork and we miss out on Bitcoin Gold.

I think more and more people are turning their alt coins into bitcoin with bitcoin gold on the horizon to most it seams we got more with bitcoin cash and the same looks like it's going to happen again so everyone dumping their alt to buy bitcoin is pushing the price up.

It's understandable now why altcoins is dropping but still it's should be the traders that should be accountable for the price drop of altcoins ( cannot blame them though) I just hope altcoins will recover especially WAVES because i do have some waves stored on my WAVES lite wallet. The question here is what will be the best date to cash out bitcoin? AFTER NOVEMBER FORK or BEFORE NOVEMBER FORK?

It's really crazy to see the growth that Bitcoin it's having in a short period of time. $5441.63 right now on CoinMarketCap with a 12.62% of positive change in just 24 hours, and it seems like it's going to keep fluctuating between that value probably until the upcoming fork, almost 55% of Bitcoin dominance on the market. Today we were able to wait a few minutes, refresh the page and see another ATH  ;D

Yes,every one has started to realize that bitcoin's progress could not be stopped by anything including hard forks,china ban on bitcoin exchanges,south korea ban on ICOs and now russia's ban on bitcoin exchanges.Even now,FUD spreaders are struggling to find a reason to spread FUD so that they could make bitcoin price to fall.Fear about china is no more.

Today,bitcoin price is $5,433.Investors have realized that hard fork trying to create bitcoin gold would also be a failure as most of miners don't support it.The only thing we have to get about concerned now is activation of segwit 2x soon as it has majority of miners support.

Just 7 hours ago, the price was quietly sitting @ $5000+ before I slept. Woke up to a new ATH, $500 more than what I've seen earlier. Is FOMO kicking in once more because of the good news being around constantly over bad news? China hasn't reconsidered yet, so what more if the Chinese fully changed their decision? Last quarter of 2017 will be good, and the upcoming forks seem to not affect the price at all.

Currently, Bitcoin is above  $5600 and for those that buy at $3000 last month, will have their investment double in few days from now. I will not join you op to say some one should stop this progress we are making now because of our investment. Bitcoin is doing well now because people are started to have confidence on blockchain technology and bitcoin in general.

You can not stop the fact that it is scarce and there is demand, so the market decides. 8)

Obviously will keep hold my bitcoins. Why need to stop it though ? I'm happy with that, the price of bitcoin increase so high and it's stable at $5,500 right now. I don't know what happen next but just be ready, the bitcoin price can easily going up and going down right now.

Yes mate fomo is real,  :) and very much kicking the market to reach new ATH. China is over, they are irrelevant as I see things now. I don't know if they are going to changed their decision, they have closed the doors and I doubt they will opened it again. No amount of pressure from the Chinese community will give enough push for the Chinese government to make a U-turn on their decision. They will look stupid at that. But in at event they changed their minds, they are very welcome.

The upcoming fork is what makes the price reach more than $5500 for the first time. So consider it a positive effect on the market. Let's wait and see after everything is calm down and if this kind of rally can be maintained. I'm expecting that we are going to close this year with a BANG!!!.

Well if the run will continue its strong movement for sure we won't see any downfall anymore bitcoin supporters are really pushing it up they love to see people rushing to have some share I'm positive that it will jumped much higher before this year end so keep buying and holding for some time.

Bitcoin is not a typical pump coin scam coin thats why we cannot say that there would be no dump to be happen on it but we can expect that there are some dumps will be happen for this coin since there are people would surely dump after a huge pump cames. But for these current event I truly expect for major breakout that would happen on this year since the hard fork could really bring a great madness for bitcoins.

That is true. If an item keeps on increasing in price, the tendency of the holder is to keep holding that so that he could gain more when he sells that item. However, there will be a point in time that holders will start selling. That is an inevitable scenario. In relation to Bitcoin, there will be a point in time that holders will sell their coins so that they will get their desired profit, thus making the price of Bitcoin decrease.

Which can stoping the movement of bitcoin price that continues to lead to higher direction of course is all the users of bitcoin and the latest news that will pop up, but hopefully it doesn't exist. Well however I still believe bitcoin price will last long at a high price at $5000 figure and above it.

today we have seen that bitcoin prices have exceeded the $ 5000 price. and I recommend to keep the bitcoin we have, so it can double at the end of the year and this will all be realized if we can all be consistent in hold bitcoin. the higher the bitcoin price will benefit our users

I am surprises to see the price keep on going up without any trigger, and this two days the price had been up with very high percentage, I am bit concerned that this situation will caused bitcoin to have a correction, so I dont dare to trade bitcoin for temporary, but I am very happy to see bitcoin has passed the previous peak price

Bitcoin is unstoppable! Bitcoin.will continue to rise even.next year. I guess it will hit at $10,000 next year! Woahh.. Bitcoin is really something to be kept for long term for you to gain more profit. In the next 5 years bitcoin will hit ay around $25,000!

Why stop it? It is actually very good because this way everyone will make big profit out of bitcoin and that is what we all wanted, but i would still suggest to not sell it now because it is going to get higher.

I think that's part of it, but my guess is that there's new money flowing into
the market, and not just from altcoin trades.  I think big money investors are seeing
how much bitcoin has gained and they want some of the action.  That could be a bad
thing, much like how complete newbies flooded the comic book market in 1992/93 when
the big 'Death of Superman' storyline happened.  Everyone wanted to make money off
that, and the market ended up crashing.  Same thing with sports cards and some other
things.  It makes me somewhat jittery.

There is no individual can stop bitcoin, this is happen because of the incoming hard fork for bitcoin and bitcoin gold, i love the way that bitcoin continuous increase its value i can make huge income by converting my bitcoin to fiat.
And i have bitcoin hold to my wallet for long term because looking positively that bitcoin will make difference in my life in the future.

Today price is very high and I think it will increase more in the next few weeks even the fork is near and many people panic selling i believe if the price decrease it will back again to the price and it will increase more than the current price. More bitcoin that you have more chances to earn big profit in the future. Keep holding bitcoin and keep buying bitcoin with your extra money only.

I do agree with you. It is really fascinating to see Bitcoin's value continuously increasing. It surpassed the 5000-dollar mark and aiming for a higher price before this year end. Surely, huge profit will be to its user and investors if its value will be more expensive if the next hardfork in November will be successful. Holding at this moment is really necessary.

I actually think a good amount of people do know about Bitcoin Gold. I think this is the case because of how Bitcoin Cash went in the past and also because of the widespread adaptation of the coin. The more people that use it, the more people there are trying to understand how BTC works and spread that info.

Indeed bitcoin is really unpredictable and good things now are happening to those who patiently wait for this. And some are really converting some of their bitcoin to fiat to somehow taste the moon and I think it's okay and just keep some decent amount for the upcoming hardfork so we can get bitcoin gold.

And it must be a responsibility of a bitcoiner or cryptocurrency enthusiasts to know this kind of things, like if you are just a normal investor you will really be left behind if you didn't know this kind of things.

Why do you need the bitcoin gold? It is only in the beginning of his career so it will be a long time to gain the price. If you sell your bitcoins when the price will be high because everyone wants to get free bitcoin gold. Then you can buy more bitcoin gold and buy back the same amount of bitcoins.

Its all due to the coming of the free bitcoinGold which seems to gonna get priced at 10% of BTC worth, so in other words everyone with BTC will automatically gain 10% more BTC that day after dumping the for free gained bitcoin gold. Due to this almost no one is selling their BTC and holding on to it, they are waiting for the hardfork to sell. Practicly almost every alt coin is getting dumped to get BTC, even eth, waves and doge has gotten superlow due to this. At the hardfork BTC will probably be around 6k $, after the selling it will take a dump but will regain in a month orso and all the alt coins will start to rise as well and bussiness will be as usual.

When i sell my bitcoins and the price up and up, i can't buy back the same amount of bitcoins and lost bitcoin gold. What you think if it happen? Best hold and wait.

And from all the look of things, I could not believe there can be someone who would think bitcoin gold will ever catch up with the value of bitcoin. It apparently will have the same fate as BCC or even worst. It might have a chance in the market and serve a purpose, after all some shitcoins do, but being able to catch up with bitcoin would be anyone's wildest dreams.
