You should keep them safe though, whoever access to these words, have access to the funds.

I'm glad to hear this, but must it be beleived on words ?! I can't find any description of the creation of the 'phrase' (is there a random generator inside the key ? or has it been pre-manufactured in Ledger's office before mailing it to me ?)

Basically, the seed is randomly generated when you initialise the device... it is only ever contained within the device and the only time it is displayed is on the devices screen when you first set it up and confirm it. It certainly isn't pre-programmed... and everytime you reset/wipe the device you generate a new seed.
