Post by: resty on October 12, 2017, 01:38:02 PM
My Question is: is it  possible that organizers of Bitcoin will Cooperate and Refund in case of our Wallet Account with bitcoin and Fiat money would be hacked by hacker? for the sake of all people to continues using Bitcoin and also for the people does not not have and wanting to use bitcoin. is it possible the organizers will make their own policy to make the people comfortable

No, they will NEVER do that. Not because they don't want to, but because it's not possible. It also goes against one of the principles of Bitcoin, which is trustlessness. You don't trust ANYONE with your money. You are the sole owner of your Bitcoins and what you do with them is entirely up to you. No individual (including developers) should be able to control any other wallets (such as the hacker's) besides their own. The only person who can refund Bitcoins is the one who now owns them, in this example, the hacker.

Bitcoin was designed that way. If your Bitcoin get stolen, you've lost them. If you send them to the wrong address, you've lost them. You should take the necessary precautions to prevent such losses, such as ensuring the environment of the Bitcoin wallet is secure.

It is safe to assume that Bitcoin itself cannot be 'hacked', only the user can. Make sure you protect your Bitcoins.

I don't think so it is possible to do so. how can the developers will give you the refund of your bitcoins on which they have no control or any type of
rights on it.Actually the Bitcoin's main reason for getting hacked by the hacker is that, the user transfers the bitcoin anonymously, and once the transaction is done it is possible to refund only if the hacker sends you otherwise you or the developers cant do anything on this matter. It is you, who is sole responsible for your bitcoin getting hacked.

How will it work exactly?  Even in the fiat world, with all the regulations and the likes, the moment your account is hacked and money stolen, the refund is not even going to be possible because its part of the terms and condition you unwillingly entered into when you are opening the account. The bank will not be responsible for the loss of funds whether on their own part or others but because of the public fall out from there, they tend to ensure that their security is top notch but that does not mean there have not been some isolated cases where the customer had to bear the pain on their own.

In the case of bitcoin, so far its not the wallet provider that is hacked, you will have to be on your own and only the site is responsible in the case the site its the one hacked. Wallet providers dont have associations and each service providers is responsible for its own security.

I don't mean to be offensive.. but you really do not understand bitcoin.  There are no "organizers" of bitcoin... that is the entire idea.  Anyone suggesting what you do should set of massive warning bells.

When your money gets stolen by someone, does the government or the police give you the equivalent amount of money stolen from you? No, right? So what makes you think a cryptocurrency would have something like that. If that's the case then everyone would just claim that they got hacked for free bitcoins. Keep in mind the you are the only one responsible for your wallet.

I believe you are yet to get yourself abreast on the way bitcoin works. It is meant to be highly codified, you don't have to disclose your security codes or anything of some sort to anyone untrusted.

Again, you have to be meticulous about transferring from your wallet to another. If you transfer to a wallet not intended, your fraction is gone for "good ". Meanwhile, nobody has control of it to retrieve anything lost back to you , not even the developers.

So, bitcoin is a big and veritable business ,you therefore need to be careful.

I do not believe that it ever will be. In order to make a return you need to investigate. Without this it is impossible to find a person who could send the key or he was the cause of the breaking of the purse. Who will do it? People need to understand that we are responsible for the safety of their coins and to take all precautions.

Banks will print it to reimburse you.  This.. isn't really the best of plans but ya.

no one will refund your money / bitcoin if a hacker has taken it and sent it to their wallet, all know that if you make a mistake with either a bitcoin delivery or something else then you lose them without any refund

No they won't even if they could (but they can't). If you keep your private keys safe and have a stable and trusted anti-virus scanner there should be no way of your address(es) getting hacked. It's impossible to do so.
The only way you could get hacked is if you get a keylogger or fall for a phising scam. In that case the hacker/scammer will be able to access your account and steal your bitcoins.
If that happens and the bitcoin have been sent to another address there's no way to get them back (unless they send it back but that's very unlikely).

I can't understand what do you mean by "organisers". Do you mean organizers/managers of Wallet?  It is not possible even you approach the manager/developer/creator of your Wallet because they are not allowed to access other wallets, if this could happen, wallets will become a little  insecure and complete mess as everyone would claim for their hack wallet or account.

No way my friend, the organizers and developers cant refund your hacked bitcoin money for any reason's no matter what ever happens . It is our responsibility to send the payment only to the people whom we know personally or who can refund you in case if there is any problem. Hackers are really increasing their activity as bitcoin involve Anonymous transaction and a perfect example was Ransomware cyber attack all over the world. So take care of your bitcoins and nobody is going to give you refund.

It's impossible to do. It conflicts with how Bitcoin is purely anonymous and decentralized. If people were able to get refunds, that process would also be exploited. Furthermore, there is no center for Bitcoin as in a place with support and call hotlines. It's a currency governed by the users.

each bitcoin transaction is irreversible! that is one of the key features of bitcoin, it cannot be messed with, no shady refunds so that it can be manipulated and possibly be spent twice.

Only possible solution is to do a double spend with a really huge fee, however that works if the transaction which the hacker sent to his wallet only has one confirmation, if some body hacks 2000 Bitcoin, you need to act fast because not even the biggest miners could reverse a transaction after 2 confirms.
A miner with a hash power more than %50 could help you even if the transaction has more than 3 confirms if you pay a fee more than 3 blocks reward.
Only miners could help, but if the hacker use a mixer no body could help you.
