Title: SCAMMED BY WALLETEXPRESS.NET
Post by: scoobydude6637 on October 12, 2017, 03:06:40 PM
Hi, I am new to bitcoin. i wanted to exchange bitcoins for paypal so i used a site called walletexpress.net. They scammed me out of $834.84 worth of bitcoins! They never paid the money to my paypal
. Now their chat feature is gone. I am so dumb for falling for this. It is the main ad in google search if you type in exhange bitcoins for paypal. When I log in it shows  my transaction. All of the blockchain info etc. I printed the info and saved it. If I click view, the info that they received my coins pops up. They have no customer service, and today they removed their chat thing.  Anything I can do to get my money? Thanks

If walletexpress.net is indeed a scam site, then nope. They're gone. It looks like you invested in bitcoin without even knowing what it is and what it does. There are no chargebacks in bitcoin. Make it a habit of doing extensive research first especially when spending a good amount of money on a website. Heck, I spent hours in the past making sure if an exchange is legit just because I wanted to trade with $30 worth of bitcoin.

Is there any email support or phone to call this company? If it is proven a scam, please contact PayPal for a way to reverse the transaction.

He paid with bitcoin, not PayPal, so there is no way for him to chargeback.
This thread should be in Scam Accusations.

But you are so dumb.. how did you trusted $900 worth of bitcoins to an awful exchange? it looks horrible, those who fall in that big scam are because they diserve to be scammed.
And you had to sent first.. there are a lot of exchanges in this forum, why havent you contacted any of them?
it could save you those $900 that you lost.
be careful next time, or use localbitcoins

I am sorry for your loss.

Use simple ad-block. With chrome you can you use uBlock but make sure to white list Bitcointalk. Google has infected so many people's computers with malware etc by advertising malicious ads. So many people land on scam websites just because they don't see small ad in the first links by google. never click them or get rid of by them trusted ad blocker.
