Title: [EXTORTION & THREATS] Now OK On Bitcointalk.org?
Post by: 5qqqqq on June 05, 2013, 04:02:52 PM
This is now allowable on these forums?  Allowing Hazard, who runs his altcoin creation service to extort and threaten people that announce he release of a coin?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=226096.new#new

Tell you what. I'll give you 1 hour to release this abortion of a coin. Or I release an exact duplicate of it. Name, icon, everything.

Let the games begin.

I dunno, pretty sure you called him a cunt first...and then the whole thing about him and his family being "shit." Technically that's assault in some parts of the world, slander in others.

Not much of a threat. And extortion typically involves personal gain of some kind. Oh, and then there is the give a fuck factor. Personally, mine is zero.

Ahh the hazard fanboy/girl.  You'll find that he called me shit first, and he is a cunt.

If he doesn't like something he has no right to try and destroy it, no right to troll my fuckin thread.

Now, he will learn what happens when you make threats and extort someone into doing something they don't want to do.

Well, there's no physical nor bodily harm expressed in his 'threat'. I personally don't find it a problem here with his actions - all alts are essentially copies anyway so there should be minimum or no increased harm towards your version of the alt.

If people flock to the new alt, it's simply the free market at work here.

Welcome to the jungle, the team behind bitcointalk has made the conscious decision to support the Alternate cryptocurrencies subforum as little as possible, so this will keep happening until the subforum implodes into itself, at which point I suppose they will have no choice but to remove it altogether.

I'm not a girl, nor am I in the Hazard fan club. You're new, so I'll enlighten you. Hazard is kind of an ass, but he's spot on about the litecoin clones, the end has come and past.

I agree he shouldn't spam your thread, but if you didn't feel it necessary to respond to everyone of his posts, perhaps he'd stop? Stick around a bit and you'll come to see does that to a lot of threads, including his own.

Dear OP,

Are you retarded? (I think you are)

I just looked at your thread about Quickcoin.  How do you expect 5 second blocks to propagate without forking constantly? (I don't think you thought about this)

EDIT:
Sorry for being off-topic here, but I'm just that amazed that OP thinks this can work.

It's a shame that such shill thread destroying is allowed and it's even bigger shame that moderator is laughing and encouraging such behavior (Maged).

I didn't expect a lot when I reported it as it was obvious that hazard is allowed to do it for weeks now but I at least expected something in the line of JohnK's post from this thread and not laughing and encouraging him to continue with it like Maged did it.

What a fucking joke of moderator and community..

Believe it or not, but the moderators here are allowed to have personal opinions. Besides, John already gave a serious response, so a serious response from me was unnecessary.

After reading through the thread, I see that it's not entirely that in the case here. (thread destroying etc)
Hazard pointed out a few problems in the new altcoin's system, and 5qqqqqq simply starting to troll him. The regular drama starts...

PS: I'm thinking of simply stickying Elwar's service (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=197598.0) or simply writing a detailed guide to create their own coin in the alt section. People need to realize that most of the new coins is a waste of time here as anyone and his monkey can make his own coin in a matter of hours. (or minutes if it's just a rebrand)

RE: "Are extortion and threats okay at bitcointalk.org?"

Theymos blackmailed me with a scammer tag back in 2010 into paying a bum 1 BTC for something he had already released into the community with instructions to "abuse it freely". He's also allowed (and continues to allow) shady companies, scammers and ponzi schemes (which he supports) to advertise on the forum under the guise of "collecting revenue for software" that has yet to be changed in over 12 months since that claim. If you're looking for a high moral standard, you're in the wrong fucking forum.

That said, alternative coins are supported by this community because we are open to changes in bitcoin that we can all benefit from. Yours is a degenerate, inferior model that provides no value or innovation whatsoever. What did you expect? A welcome party? Please learn how to internet before pretending how to business.

Ahh but your the biggest bitch on the entire forum.  You'll find that extortion has nothing to do with gain.

OP has zero understanding of why and how currencies operate.  A currency is by definition a bubble, as the currency itself has no use value, only exchange value.  Therefore the value of the currency is determined by faith and credit of the users, as well as the relative liquidity of the currency (who is willing to trade for it and for what).  Personally, I have no desire to hold a cheap LTC-copy made by a prepubescent child who resorts to calling other members of the community cunts to settle arguments, but that could just be me...

History disagrees with you. The proof is quite simple. If I had been scamming people, why would Theymos have ever removed the scammer tag in the first place? (Or made me a mod after that). I understand your misplaced rage from not being able to respond to me properly in other threads when I honestly point out your faults, but the tree your barking up has already been burnt to the ground.
