Title: Buying and Holding BTC/LTC/ETH
Post by: steven915 on October 13, 2017, 04:28:18 PM
Hello, I wanted to ask if I should just buy BTC/LTC/ETH right away when I get the money, or should I wait a couple of weeks to see if their prices go down?

I recently started bitcoining, and I wanted to get more bitcoin by waiting for it to go down, since it did go down a lot last month, I thought it would do it again, but it didn't instead it went up.

So, I wanted to ask if I should just buy the coins when I get the money or should I wait for a couple of weeks or so just to see if their prices would go down?

Why not just go in right now if you're planning on holding them long term anyway?

Think about it. Crashes always happen for a reason. Weeks to months ago bitcoin crashed due to bannings of ICOs and banning of bitcoin itself on some China specifically. Why do you think it will crash again? What reason do you have in mind?

If you want to invest for long term, you'll be aiming for price differences much more considerable than just a few hundreds. So there is no point waiting for the price to lower since the difference is probably not going to be worth the risk.

Alright,

tbh I'm not really familiar to why the coins crashes sorry for that lol.

Alright, I'll buy them now I am going to hold them for a long period of time, thanks mate!

When there is bad news it should be a good time to buy them. For example at this point of time where the market is bullish, buy them at high price is not recommended from my experience

If you have only one chunk of money to invest in those coins I would be patient and wait for a good entry point. If you plan to invest multiple time a year, than you can buy right now and every times you get money to invest. That way you would be avereging the cost of all your purchases; sometimes its higher, sometimes its lower.

Consider this. There are two events happening that may earn you an equal amount of bitcoin in a different version cryptocurrency. The events are called hard forks. Hard forks result in airdrops of a new currency. They have to do this if they want the new (and "improved" so they intend) version of Bitcoin to exist and thrive.

If you buy more Bitcoin now you will receive more airdropped coins of the two fork currencies coming up on Oct. 25th and mid-November.

Just something to consider.

Great point, keep in mind that most of these hard forks are likely to surge the prices up as well. So the sooner you hear the news the better, but as everyone had already said - if you are going to be holding for long term then a few hundred isn't much of a big deal. I applaud you on your journey, ETH is a great investment at the moment, it was released very recently and it already has spawned thousands of tokens under their protocol.

yeah that's good idea. i think you are doing thing is really good. first you have to see price of each coin price next try to buy it. actually in the world most of the people very interested to buying bit coins. so just try to understand the competition and present market price of coins. next you have to take good decision. at a time buying coins is not good. so first see market demand of coins later you have to buy it.

buy now and don't wait for the moment of that coins will goes down, because they are randomly pump and dump, so instead of waiting for the dump, buy now and don't wait. what if the price will pump upto 20% while you waiting in the market, the chance to buy coins while in the dip are gone. so don't waste your time to wait just buy now as much as you can and hold it until it pump huge.

yeah you have to buy btc/eth/ltc coins really they had great demand present so you try to buy and hold it 5 years or 10 years then you getting more money. so first you have to see present market price of all coins then you have to buy. actually coin price depends on the market demand so you have to see first that parameters then you have to buy. really buying btc good decision it has good market demand present.

The price of deflationary coins is projected to always go up, so technically you would never go wrong.

Instead of waiting and their price keep going up, start by investing little by little for now, then if there is a deep, the you can buy as large as you wished.

And have you thought about who is spreading the rumors? What if those people are early investors just waiting for a pump to get rd of their coins?
Don't always go blindly in because some people were telling you to.

I think Bitcoin will succeed and go higher, but it's my opinion and I'm acting on my instinct, not relying on other people. If I had a lot of money to lose I'd be much more careful, but since I got in years ago I have nothing to worry about.

Bitcoin always has corrections. But think if it keeps going up, the corrections may not even bring it down to a lower price than where it was before. So why not just invest now if you're going to hold long term? If you're really curious, you can look up elliot waves and bitcoin and see when a possible correction may occur.

Those all of coins well established, these day fluctuations just a normal routine. Some people using this and make easy money. Near coming days, Bitcoin will hit a new ATH for sure others also follow the same trends. Technically, every pick will be worth but you can take chance get this coin in low price as there's fork coming.

Bitcoin price is unpredictable but the latest trend has been in upward. You can buy BTC/LTC/ETH right now if you are planning only to keep them for a few years without touching them. In fact best would be to buy LTC, its price skyrocketed a few weeks ago and now it is down again.

However best would be to only buy BTC and hold it for long term, BTC is proven and all other coins until now there aren't. BTC is accepted everywhere in crypto related websites and business when all other coins aren't.

If you are planning to keep them for a long time then you have to find the right moment, look now that etherum has a tiny drop, while bitcoin has grown, try to find the right moment and buy coins.

Of course, it is best to buy coins when their price is lower than before, but it is difficult to hit the moment, but the coins you wrote have a pretty positive future ahead so their purchase makes sense.

A lot of cryptocurrencies are now emerging and Bitcoins are one of the originals. For me, the best is Ethereum! And it can possibly rank more than bitcoin. It has proved to be the best in terms of security and value. You may check this link for more information: www.propthereum.io

I, too, are new to crypto-currencies, but I already realized that, of course, you need to wait until the rate drops.
Although sometimes I think that I will buy now for expensive and it will still take off.

But I prefer not to take risks ::)

Buying and keeping is the easiest way to make money easily. Of course it is best to buy BTC but ETH also develops very successfully and its course is great.

As a newbie, I tend to hold the mentioned cryptocurrencies for long term profit. Their prices has keep accelerating. The price dips are temporary and soon they'll go up again. Look out for their price downtrend before buying.

Nowadays all three made big pumps in their history, and they are going to have some also in future so investing in them will probably give some extra money every time.
