$450 in my opinion. Ether is the second best coin. Looks like its following bitcoin after turmoils in markets. So it is safe bet to say it will $100 more. 500-600s are quite high. Might be!

It could be 700, maybe even more. I believe it will go up as soon as the fork goes through

I suppose the price for Etherum is going to fall before the fork, as the price of other altcoins. Everything cause of Bitcoin Gold free coins which are going to be send only to those people who have bitcoin. So people are simply selling their altcoins now and buy bitcoin, after they get Bitcoin Gold they will buy altcoins back by cheap prices. Such a strategy ;)

Nothing is certain at the moment. Couple of days before noone expected, that ETH will rise like it did today before the fork of BTC will happen.
But:

The rise of BTC at the moment is extreme fast. Too fast in my eyes. This will make the BTC holders more and more unsure. And 10 days are a long, long way to go, when you are unsure. This uncertainty will rise with every extra % value of BTC now - until the tiniest strange thing will be enough to release an avalanche of sells ...
... but what will be bought then ...?

In some ways I kind of hope Ethereum doesn't explode.  Bitcoin was supposed to be the online currency of convenience, but has anybody actually tried to use it for purchases recently?  It's slow as molasses and expensive to move.  It took my last purchase 4 hours to get its 6 confirmations I needed.  Bitcoin now is just an investment vehicle and wealth store.  On the other hand, Ethereum with shapeshift has become my online currency of convenience.  The stable price of Ether has its benefits with token valuation as well.

Do we know if the fork will impact existing contracts? I'm having trouble finding details.

Of course Ethereum have a great future. and i think it's must exploded today or tomorrow. Its have a real business acceptance in all financial areas.

Ethereum is gaining a lot of traction. This is the best altcoin as far as being second to bitcoin. It has a whole network of tokens that represents other alt coins.

Ethereum will keep on rising for sure.Second best to bitcoin, it shows stability and acceptance unlike most altcoins. It will benefit from bitcoin rising.

Looks like ethereum did a great pump today too, more than 11%, from $295 to $335 in just a few hours, more than 11 percent i guess. Maybe ethereum is the next one who will be pumped, who knows, i dont know what to expect from this crazy market. But it is weird to see ethereum going up again, i though that it was going to be freezed for some weeks, because it is not strong enough anymore.

I wouldn't call these prices pump, I'll rather call it correction upward! Bitcoin pump has done a little damage to ether price in the last 48hrs. I was of the opinion that people will hold their ether. Alas! I was wrong. After the metropoplis though we might see a jump in price.

It seems to me that the Ethereum can at this time not set a ATH relative to Bitcoin, but it can relative to the dollar. My goal is 700-800 dollars.

Byzantium is here "to blame" the most. People expect to get some extra money, who wouldn't. Hopefully it will stay up there

You could check the exact time to the hard fork. BTW it's not necessary this hark fork to bring a network split.

If you call this "exploded", you've clearly never experienced an explosion.

As of now the price of ethereum coin is 350 dollars and I hope it will increase again . Before my prediction about ethereum become 1k dollars before end of this year but as of now I think the chances to happen is 50 percent because the price of ethereum decrease increase . But I hope it will increase more than 500 dollars before end of this year 2017 but its better if we see 1k dollars.

ether is fallling these days and so are altcoins maybe because bitcoins value is still rising higher and also due to the upcoming fork that been said will  happen on mid october and november but after these  upgrades has done for sure etherium and all altcoins will be back to their normal price and would start to pump high again and maybe the bitcoin would drop again back to 4000$.

Next target is to not reach $34 if they mess up the hark fork! I read that parity are still not ready and they are keeping 20% of the network.
IMO this is very risky when you have less than 48 hours to a hark fork.

Probably close to 1k if the platform holds its dominance as an ICO beast and token creator. If that holds true then ethereum will moon for sure. Do look for competitors to challenge that space though, as NEO is already doing

I think $1000 is not gonna happen at the moment  but hopefully in the future it will reach $1k, it might just stay at $300 to $400. Lets wait for the bitcoin correction and see what happens on eth and alts.

It would be more realistic if we see it touching $1000 in year 2019.
for now still BTC that will continue to control the coins under it.

Yes I believe this, Ethereum is likely to rise higher for the next. Seen from the recent movements the price hasn't decreased again as before, it looks stable towards the higher direction.. So let's use Ethereum as part of all investments, I think this will certainly be profitable.

Can we expect chain split in case hard fork like happened in BTC ?, ORthats not a case here ..

I don't think we can start talking about an explosion before we even break the ATH.

Byzantium seems to be a very important reason to make the price of ethereum up, we are in the count down of the byzantium upgrade and that will be happen in this month. I hope that will go very well and give the more hype to the ethereum.

ethereum byzantine hard fork affect the price to hike as close as 700. a disrupting blockchain nryetok doesn't mean a collapse to ethereum network, its result will be positive as it enhances network uprgrade and doesn't create any chain split, ethereum hatd forl are better than bitcoin's hardfork for they cause less panic to ethereum supporters, i guess byzantine will run smoothly during this hardfork.

I don't think Ethereum will cost 700 by the end of the year. While waiting for reaching 400 and how will the fork. There is already possible to make forecasts

Even they are not related to the fork if bitcoin price increase they have possible the price of ethereum will increase.be just not like now the price of ethereum will not increase even the price of bitcoin increasw but its okay because they have fork that help to ethereum to increase if bitcoin price increase. Not sure why you guys are talking about 700 and 1000 when it struggles to even reach its former high in dollar value. If you look at the price of Ethereum in BTC then it's fallen way back to the level where it was in May! The last minute critical bug in Geth before the fork is not reassuring either.

I think the price will hit $600, the fundamental s are there, hopefully tomorrow hard fork will go welland the coming Devcon will unleash the price again, $300 has been the floor for some time

The price can achieve 1000 dollars within all 2018 year. It is hard but possible and i believe in it because i will can get large prize :)

That will be impossible until the ethereum and the pos transition will have completed to be implemented in the ethereum platform and that will be happening in the next year as the developer of ethereum said.

I think ETH will hit $700 first and after the future plans get implemented, it'll hit $1000 easily.

Ethereum has just Hard fork success, I think Eth will rise again. But it will not grow too fast because Eth is relatively stable and long lasting.
So it suits those who want to keep long! And do not want to risk their money.
Eth will reach $ 500 - $ 600 and grow slowly until 2018!

I think it will rise up with bitcoin in the long term. It could be at $1000 next year, they will get a lot of attention!  ;D

The ether price may rise in the next year even to such an amount, why? His current market and history give it a foundation, but the more logical one seems to be $ 430-480.

It has been lingering around 350 for days now and I am also looking for the day when it will touch 400 dollars. Bitcoin price is rising up and it will hopefully do some good to ethereum. I think, ethereum is going to take some time before it really becomes worth 1k dollars but I see potential of reaching this value in eth. Also, patience is the key of becoming rich in crypto coin world.

I hoped the price of Ethereum would rise after the successful fork and the improvements it brought but it just can't catch a break :(

ETH is not a bad coin. Recently with the prices of bitcoins, people just made it a problem to have ETH. If someone have this right now, some other man come to him and said, dude it has died. Bitcoin have killed ETH. Better is to sell this dying coin and earn a little investment back. Believe in it, it will come back soon.
