This forum is amazing but when it comes to reaching out to someone I've really struggled to get a reply back.

I have tried private messages but not sure if anyone even check them here.

Maybe you could explain why you are trying to reach out to Hero/Legendary members? People usually stay quite vague when they're trying to hide something. They have probably read your messages, but if what you're sending is uninteresting then you will not get a reply. If you are sending links, it is unlikely to get clicked because there are too many phishing attempts going around. Just because you have the ability to private message people, it does not mean that they have to respond to unsolicited messages.

Already a legendary replied in your post.what kind of advice need you? You should post in details. No one will reply you if your pm is not important And if you send them link they not click your link brcause spamer sends hacking link to them.Last of all they are free what will they do.They can reply you or not.It's depends on them.Thank you

What a bizarre thread.  I might be new around here, but there are usually a few rules that might help get answers. 

Firstly prove you have done some research in whatever it is you are asking - it had better not be answerable with a simple google.

Be very clear in what you are asking, and make sure your "target" cares enough to answer.

Makes sure the question has something "interesting" in it, and hasn't been asked a thousand times before.

But why do you want a reply from them? They are only Hero and Legendary members because they have been in this forum for a lot of time, maybe there are other members who have a lower rank and know more than they.
Actually there are a lot of hero and legendary members who have a bs english and they only talking and posting trash only to get payed by their signature campaigns.
There is nothing special with them, and with the other ranks.

Because maybe, just maybe, it's a second or third language for some of them. Not everyone is as smart as you and talks perfect english, no need to be a dick about it ;)
The only thing that is special about their ranks is that they've been here before you and are being paid more for posting than you, maybe that's the problem.

If OP wants high ranked people to notice him he probably wants to advertise and hopes high ranked people will have more cash to spend and more influence in the community.

Why do you exactly need to reach Hero/Legendary members, what's wrong with other ranks? People reading PM's, but if you are advertising something, people tend to ignore such messages. And some of them maybe not interested in stuff that you send them.
Anyway, I think that such high rank doesn't means much - there are thousands of Hero/Legendary members. If you are getting responses from lower rank members, then sooner or later you will get response from high ranked member(s).

If you're looking for advice it doesn't really matter if someone is ranked Hero/Legendary or something else. All it takes to get a high rank on this forum is a lot of posts and time, not knowledge or skill of any kind.
If you're looking for someone to advertise for you and they didn't respond to your PM, you probably didn't make a good enough offer or asked for help with advertising something they considered sketchy in some way.

In any way, it's hard to help you if you don't post more specific information about what you are trying to do.

There are a lot of players who don't share their experience they gained over the past years. There are some really amazing people in the community. Just make your PMs straight to the point and also your queries should be important/valid enough to get their reply.

Some people do not want to share their experience because they think beginners should learn from their mistakes. In my opinion sometimes it is a good approach, because not always our "adviser" is honest. After all, there are also good people who are willing to help beginners.

First of all, read and you will learn more. When you learn something you will find answers by yourself. And then if you still have questions at least you will ask smart questions which higher rank members will not ignore...maybe.

We have amazing members in bitcointalk irrespective of their present rank being held.
So i think thats what you should watch out for.
